A great article by a female Marine Officer with combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    http://www.mca-marines.org/gazette/article/get-over-it-we-are-not-all-created-equal

It's a long but good read.

Regardless, I can say with 100 percent assurance that despite my accomplishments, there is no way I could endure the physical demands of the infantrymen whom I worked beside as their combat load and constant deployment cycle would leave me facing medical separation long before the option of retirement.

So refreshing to hear the truth.

Woman should have complete access to apply for jobs in the military where they are qualified.

So a combat experienced female Marine Corps officer, someone with ovaries who's been there and done that, telling you it's a bad idea means nothing to you? Why do you feel that this woman, who's vastly more qualified on the issue, is wrong?

I suggest you read the article she wrote and the interview she did for CNN. It's quite detailed.

So you agree that women should not be in the infantry?

I believe most of us are aware by now of your unswerving dedication to the cause of overthrowing the monstrous tyranny of reality. ;)

    Equal pay? Equal responsibility.

Anything less is sexist, archaic, and groundless.

People used to say women shouldn't be in police forces but that idea went the way of the Romans ....

Young man, I'm not here to debate people like yourself. I'm here to bear witness to the fact that you're not playing with a full deck, and that those responsible for your mental handicap ought to be flayed alive.

The stupidity of the question serves only to highlight your desperation, hth.

Believe me, I am perfectly aware of the perceived tactical value in posting a patent imbecility and pretending the refusal to address it betrays intellectual inadequacy; but of course I'm not nearly dumb enough to be affected by such transparent trollery.

No doubt the leftard contingent will agree, but that's no concern of mine.

You have me confused with someone else. ;)

So, you read the female Marine's article, but you still think women should be allowed in the infantry. Doesn't seem like you really grasped what she said...

So they require a different operational approach.

As a veteran I must say that I not only oppose the idea of women in combat, I oppose the idea of women in roles that they SIMPLY PHYSICALLY CAN NOT PERFORM. And yet, I've met hundreds of women who were jet mechanics who relied on MEN to perform some, if not nearly all, of the physical labor that job requires.

Sorry ladies, but you CAN'T do everything a man can do.

And our military trying to force this particular belief will only lead to reduced readiness. Which, by the way..has already happened.

The only military jobs I really don't think women can perform in are ground combat arms jobs. A mechanic having to take an extra 30 seconds to ask someone stronger to turn a wrench won't cost lives; an Infantryman waiting 30 seconds in a killzone for someone stronger to carry out a casualty costs lives.
