Many women also get abortions because it is their right, even if the man wants the baby and is supportive, so it can be strictly about them being lazy, or simply not wanting to have the responsibility, of raising a baby with a man.

No ones saying anything is wrong with murdering or euthanizing a baby at under 3 months in their womb, as long as its legal according to the law of their land, because they feel their unfit. Its their body, they can do anything they want with it, according to natural laws.

The judge makes them pay, at least in the United States, don't know of Australia. So the fund is not neccessary

If you feel absolutely certain that a zygote is a human life then you have every right to feel like you do. Most abortions are for convenience, and other selfish personal reasons. But most abortions happen within the first trimester, and most of those within the first 12 weeks. The brain is far from being developed enough to have self awareness by that time. Abortion is by no means ideal though, it is a dirty and sterile procedure.

But I do not feel this way. These abortions that I am talking about are the ones being done on humanoid embryos that definitely resemble babies.

And that is the issue: "most", not all. Those pictures I posted are still in the first trimester. Just because it is only the first trimester does not necessarily mean it is just a clump of cells.

Here is a 12-week fetus again:

It sure has an eery resemblance to a baby, doesn't it?

Most fetuses, no matter the species, will generally begin to look similar to what the end result is. What does it's appearance have to do with whether or not it has a right to forcibly remain inside a woman's uterus though?

Even if it were a full grown adult inside there he/she still would not have a right to stay against the woman's will.

this is a good source for accurate images of prenatal development: http://www.ehd.org/prenatal-images-index.php

but I am wondering exactly what are the arguments for foetuses rights trumping those of the mother.

can you spell them out for me?

No you missed my point - to make it equitable the fund should be there before a man has sex to ensure he can support the pregnancy before birth - no court costs or appearances.

And 12 weeks is beyond the time frame when most abortions occur

This will tend to reduce even further with the increasing use of "Medical" abortions - i.e.. RU486

So let us look at foetuses UNDER eight weeks when most abortions occur

Developmental week 6 pregnancy week 8

No wonder so many people refer to them as "Tadpoles"

Looks to me like the oldest embryo in your pictures is just under 4 weeks. Problem is, most abortions are done on fetuses over 9 weeks.

Can you spot the baby? I can.

    You can see a baby?

OK, where do the booties go, Mr. Sandpaper Guy?

Go towards the end of the video, to week 9.

"It's hard to believe how rapidly one cell evolves in such a short time into the unmistakable body of a baby."
