yep, they want prices to go up, cause they think it will help them in the midterms, they do not care the damage it would cause

Because they want the country to fail to hurt Biden and possibly gain power which they will abuse. Very un-American.

Wholesale prices are up A LOT under Biden and the Dems.

No feuling: PPI inflation drops sharply in July to 9.8%, negative month-on-month

"And this month the drop in final demand for goods is the largest since the first full month of the pandemic, in fact:"

"Final demand goods: The index for final demand goods fell 1.8 percent in July, the largest decline since moving down 2.7 percent in April 2020. The July decrease can be traced to a 9.0-percent drop in prices for final demand energy. Conversely, the indexes for final demand foods and for final demand goods less foods and energy rose 1.0 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively."

"Eighty percent of the July decline in the index for final demand goods is attributable to gasoline prices, which fell 16.7 percent. The indexes for diesel fuel, gas fuels, oilseeds, iron and steel scrap, and grains also moved lower. In contrast, prices for chicken eggs jumped 43.1 percent. The indexes for industrial chemicals and for electric power also increased."

"The plummeting gasoline prices will certainly provide some relief, but the 1.0% month-on-month increase in food will likely outweigh the gas savings — assuming that gas prices remain at their current levels."

"Table 1’s year-on-year inflation rates in PPI shows that consumers are still taking a beating:"

"The drop in gas prices is due to a sudden drop in demand, not an increase in supply — and that usually means a recession. The month-on-month personal-consumption figures in the PPI report for July look ominous, too:"

"Personal consumption of goods less energy rose 1.2%, but when including energy, it fell 0.7%. Personal consumption less foods dropped dramatically to -4.3%, which suggests that economic activity is now concentrated on staples. That would be a product of a five-quarter decline in real disposable personal income, plus what looks like a stall in the economy."

    Stalling Economy:

"The one-month breather on inflation may be welcome news in some quarters, but the underlying reasons for it are causes for alarm. We are not solving inflation through increased production but through the choking off of demand. That’s a recession, and it may have already arrived."

The claim in the title here is false. Overall retail inflation hasn't fallen at all.

Where Americans Plan To Cut Back In Face Of Inflation
    [IMG]

The OP is trying to run a victory lap because inflation stayed at it's already intolerable high levels which doesn't ease the 'financial pressure on millions of households...'

"Prices remain elevated with energy prices 33 percent above last year’s levels and food prices 11 percent higher than in July 2021. As millions of families face financial hardship in the face of inflation, many are forced to cut back on some expenses to make ends meet."

Not the privileged gentry that the DNC serves, they are all fine.

    Ugly.

The logic behind the Income Reduction Act is perfect.

The lower everyone's incomes are the less fuel they will buy the less products they will consume and so on and that will improve our carbon footprint.

Unless... all that stuff about CO2 is wrong...

It depends on how diabolical your mind is.

If your objective is to destroy everything we have, break up all independent countries into little pieces that a world government can control,

then destroying the US, Russia, China, and each individual European country Etc. is pure beauty.

That's why Biden wants the US and Russia and China to all destroy each other.

Inflation, by definition, is devaluation of the dollar caused by inflating the money supply. Prices change due to supply and demand and, to some extent, by competition.

Trump didn't get the job done. Gas prices are a very small part of this...

Since covid (I left it off the graph above), workers have dropped below 100—where they were 43 years ago in 1979. This the median income for full-time workers. Part-time workers are worse off.
