I think the Decepticons would totally be allied with Iran, The United Federation of Planets maybe with the EU, I could see HYDRA allied with Turkey against Russia while CONTROL would probably work out of France. It goes without saying that the Justice League of America would be here in the US, although most likely based in their Watchtower on the Moon, and that The League of Shadows, led by Ra's al-Ghul, is possibly working with Saudi Arabia.

The United Federation of Planets actually don't get along with EU, so your scenario is wrong. They will ally with Japan along with the X-Men. The Australians will resurrect a horde of zombies and skeleton warriors and use them to invade Canada.
I believe that even a War on Drugs should require the wealthiest to pay wartime tax rates; therefore, doomsday sooth sayings should require doomsday tax rates on the wealthiest.
Turkey and Israel have split up. They are now enemies. Israel doesn't really want the break up, but Turkey's demands are unreasonable. I think it's to its own detriment.
The friction in the South China Seas between Japan and Chine, and the friction in Africa with France is because of energy resources. The Aegean might blow up when Greece declares its EEP, unless Turkey is smart and doesn't go through with its threats. We will find out in two months.
Something happening to the U.S. would set them all off. I think they're all raring to go. Quite a few economists and the Strafor international intelligence agency said that wars will break out this year because of the economy. It's funny how so many nations hate the U.S. and blame us for everything, and yet our power is the only thing keeping them from killing one another off. Crazy!

Shedding blood, including the blood of the innocent, while fighting to destroy harmless plants.

Not confused once you understand the world. For thousands of years the same rulers have dominated over populations (these rulers/dominators have labeled themselves as royals) In this time they have created alliances on a global scale, they have combined al their power and wealth. All wars and conflicts are caused by them, because via conflicts and wars they hold power and control over the people, they keep the people confused and deceive them. Once the people find out who they are and how they work, and what they are up to, they can be stopped one day. But the people (we) have very big problems, they use politics (slick words and terminology and political labeling of the voter's mind, voters believe they are a 'socialist', 'capitalist' or 'conservative', they keep your mind locked (ready to vote, lined up psychologically), not free, they don't want a population that thinks freely and can peek through their deception), they use mind control (by repeating the same television programming for decades (the same artificial stuff), and by using the same colours red-white-black (they 'program' the masses, because people are 'programmable' (mind), think about how powerful commmercials are, it works), they have managed to turn the minds of the masses in one direction (psychologically, works a bit like fashion works, people copycat ideology like fashion without seeing/notice it, it sticks in your mind, a person get used to all this new stuff, accept it as normal, while it is not) The world around us (mainly the skycraper cities and capitalism was created by them, they have control over politics, banks, industries, media, etc) The control the world, they rule over lots of things, the only thing they have not (yet) control over are the people (but they get closer and closer) by incrementally push forward their ideology (you don't notice, done very clever and almost unnoticable, for most people) Ideology (used by most politicians) and mind control are the biggest problem for the media/tv/movie watching masses, billions watch the media created by the system. World War III will not start as a world war, it started with the war on terror and war on drugs, and the smaller conflicts (they keep creating and spreading conflicts around the globe (now France is acive in Mali, another expansion of the war on islam) They keep expanding this (for years they have financed the wrong people, instead of devellopment projects the cash went in the pckets of war lords, they have created small armies, and after decades the west is fighting these rebels. Pirates is also going on because of this. Until people don't understand what tyranny means, this will never stop. This is going on for thousands of years and people still haven't figured out what the world is about. Crazy? No religion, they believe they are gods and act like it, their believe is extremely strong. It was always the same, but if they get control over the entire world, it will take a century or even longer to get freedom and civilisation back (and finally world peace)
We may be able to better ensure "peace on Earth" merely by requiring wartime tax rates on the wealthiest, in modern times.
