    Golly, can't you show some consistency? First you attack the law of demand, then you backtrack. Backtracking is obviously a good idea as your original comment was ludicrous

    In the Real World, stats mean Hog Droppings.

    It's Simple as this......."I choose to carry a gun to keep from being killed".....In the Real World.

    Actually, in 1976 DC's homicide rate was below the national average and falling all the way up until they enacted the ban. Almost immediately afterwards their homicide rate began to climb, and to climb dramatically. Ironically, in the year following the decision in DC v. Heller the homicide rate dropped 25%.


    What do you mean by this? What do you define as the "gun culture"??

    I'd go with fetishistic behaviour that encourages either inflation in the risks of injury and/or a skewed mentality that is unable to think objectively.
