YouTube bans all anti-vaccine content, not just COVID-19-related

In any issue there CAN be 'two sides' but it's a problem when one side is political and
not factual - it isn't a 'side' at all.
In this case Youtube is damned if they do and damned if they don't. But it's a good call
as so many lives are at stake. But next time maybe it won't be a correct call.

 

I'm willing to bet everything I don't own that this decision is purely commercial, not ethical. Many advertisers nowadays must be terrified of being even remotely associated with the Trump supporting religious right usually identified with anti-vaxxers.

there is no harm in encouraging health but there is great harm in insisting it is the only preventative measure or that it is 100% effective

with the four and a half million deaths, the two hundred a twenty million infected people
and the on-going anti-vax campaign which shows little sign of slowing down.

You have never read anything from the Israel study. If you did you would know that with over 80% vaccinated, the vaccinated are 27 times higher to be hospitalized than those who are unvaccinated who already had Covid.

It’s a case of a straightforward mathematical function. Allow a population of potential victims to freely intermingle and the virus will proliferate. Actively discourage vaccination and the problem will be made worse. “Downplay” the danger in the early stages….even worse…

I’ve explained this before and it’s becoming tedious….in the same way that the US mismanagement has resulted in more infections than their population would indicate, countries like my own have infections way below what the population would suggest, because we’ve taken much more stringent measures…
