Jeffrey Dahmer, a white cannibal, had a great deal of attention focused on him. Considering that these events were fairly quick in succession I can see why they receive national coverage.

Whatever Don's reasons for posting...I think that this is a topic that would/should be looked at with some scrutiny because if it is drug related--say bath salts--then we need to have more public awareness.

1 June 2012 | Following several disturbing incidents involving cannibalism that have set the internet aflutter with rumours of an impending Zombie Apocalypse, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a statement on Friday saying that there is no cause to fear the walking dead.

CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms), agency spokesman David Daigle told the Huffington Post. This is not the first time the CDC has addressed zombies. In the past, the government agency has released several tongue-in-cheek warnings about the undead. Now, however, the CDC decided to weigh in on the zombie question in earnest following a vicious attack that happened in Miami on Saturday, when Rudy Eugene, aged 31, was shot and killed by police while devouring the face of a homeless man. The victim, 65-year-old Ronald Poppo, survived, but the incident has left his face horribly disfigured.

Eugene, who may have been high on drugs known as bath salts at the time, seemed invulnerable to the bullets piercing his naked body until the moment he collapsed, police said. On Tuesday, Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old student from Maryland, admitted to murdering his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, and then eating his heart and parts of his brain. Now, law enforcement officials are on the hunt for Luka Rocco Magnotta, a porn actor who allegedly killed and dismembered Jun Lin, a Chinese man believed to be his lover, and then raped and ate flesh from the corpse. He packaged and mailed other body parts to political offices in Ottawa, Canada, the Daily Mail has reported.

The gruesome parade of crimes involving cannibalism has continued with a man in Sweden who allegedly cut off and ate his wifes lips, followed by a story out of New York where a man chewed the ear off another man at a Staten Island restaurant. It also has been reported that in New Jersey, a man stabbed himself multiple times in front of police and then threw pieces of his skin and intestines at them. All of the ghoulish crimes of the past week have driven Zombie Apocalypse up to the No. 2 spot on Google's list of trending search terms. The site Gawker has added fuel to the fire by pointing to a mysterious rash that broke out at a high school in Hollywood, Florida, as further proof that the walking dead are out there.

The CDC spokesperson dismissed fictional viruses that can cause cannibalism in humans, such as Ataxic Neurodegenrative Satiety Deficiency Syndrome, which has been outlined by a Harvard University professor in a fake medical journal. However, zombie-like characteristics have been observed in the animal kingdom. A newfound fungus in a Brazilian rain forest -- called Ophiocordyceps camponoti-balzani -- is known to infect an ant, take over its brain so as to move the body to a good location for growth, and then kill the host.

The college student suspected of killing and eating parts of a man staying at his home ranted months ago about mass human sacrifices on Facebook, one of several details that emerged on Friday in the second gruesome case of alleged cannibalism in the US in a week. Authorities say Alex Kinyua, 21, admitted using a knife to kill and carve up Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, before eating his heart and parts of his brain. The older man had been staying with the Kinyua family for about six weeks at their townhouse in the Baltimore suburb of Joppatowne. The remains have been positively identified as Agyei-Kodies and a relative in the US has been notified, Hartford County Sheriffs Office spokeswoman Monica Worrell said. No other charges have been filed against anyone else, she said.

Both the victim and his alleged killer had attended nearby Morgan State University, an historically black university in Baltimore. Kinyua had just finished his junior year, and Agyei-Kodie was a graduate student who last attended classes in 2008. Both men were also originally from Africa; Kinyua, a US citizen, moved from Kenya as a child and Agyei-Kodie was from Ghana. Investigators have not given a possible motive in the slaying. In a separate case on May 19, police said Kinyua beat a man with a baseball bat on Morgan States campus, fracturing his skull and making him lose sight in one eye. Kinyua was free on US$220,000 bail in that case. He is now being held without bond on a murder charge.

Kinyua, an electrical engineering student, had a very good grade point average and had enough credits to be a senior in the fall, according to university spokesman Clinton Coleman. He could not comment on the incident, but said the university has a zero-tolerance policy toward violence and a student in such a situation would likely be suspended or expelled. No students or faculty had approached the school with concerns about Kinyua, Coleman said. In February, Kinyua posted a question on Facebook, asking fellow students at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) if they were strong enough to endure ritual HBCU mass human sacrifices around the country and still be able to function as human beings?

He referred to the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech and other past university killings around the country and warned ethnic cleansing is the policy, strategy and tactics that will affect you, directly or indirectly in the coming months. Kinyua wrote on his page that he attended Morgan State and was a member of a Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) affiliated military honor society at the university, the National Society of Pershing Rifles. ROTC is a college-based US military program that allows students to be commissioned as officers when they graduate. The page was linked to an Internet radio show called Warrior Syndicate Radio, which displayed a photograph of Kinyua in green-and-white face paint. A Twitter account linked to him also had nonsensical and repetitive Tweets that ended in February. Lieutenant Colonel James Lewis, a professor of military science at Morgan State and the head of the ROTC program, said on Friday that Kinyua participated in ROTC for two-and-a-half years, but was disenrolled in January. He could not say why.

i thought so as well, but i guess it only applies when guys like al sharpton and jesse jackson need it to apply for their benefit. see if they went by the "one drop rule" in this case they couldnt make a racism charge and make money off it lol.

now if Z was the one who was shot and killed by a white white guy then they would have applied the rule to Zimmerman.

MAY 31--A Maryland man charged with murdering a male housemate confessed to investigators that after killing the victim he ingested the mans heart and portions of his brain, according to court filings.

Cops investigating the recent disappearance of Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, discovered what they believe to be the mans remains in a Joppatowne residence he shared with Alexander Kinyua, 21, and members of Kinyuas family.

Investigators had been summoned to the residence after Kinyuas brother Jarrod opened two tins in the homes basement laundry room and observed a human head and two human hands. When Jarrod confronted his brother about the remains, Alexander denied the remains were human and stated that they were animal remains, an investigator reported.

Jarrod then went upstairs, got his father, and returned to the basement, where the items he observed were gone and that Alex Kinyua was cleaning the container he observed them in.

During a search of the home early yesterday, Harford County Sheriffs Office deputies recovered a human head and two hands. In a subsequent interview, Kinyua reported that he had caused the death of Mr. Kodie by cutting him up with a knife, and that after causing the death he had ingested the dead mans heart and portions of his brain.

Kinyua then directed deputies to a nearby Baptist church, where the remainder of Agyei-Kodies body was found in a dumpster. Police have not detailed a motive for the brutal killing.

On Saturday, Agyei-Kodie (pictured at left) was reported missing by Kinyuas father, who said Agyei-Kodie, a friend of his, went jogging at 5:30 AM and had not been seen since. Agyei-Kodie is described in a missing persons report as a Morgan State University graduate student who holds multiple masters degrees from Ghana.

Deputies circulated a missing person flyer two days before Agyei-Kodies remains were discovered and Kinyua was charged with his murder.

Morgan Student Admits To Eating Missing Joppatowne Mans Dismembered Body Parts

JOPPATOWNE, Md. (WJZ)An already grisly murder takes an even more grisly twist. A college student tells police he killed a housemate and then ate parts of the victims heart and brain.

Mike Hellgren has more on the stunning details about this gruesome crime.

At the suspects bail review Thursday afternoon, a judge denied him bail. But the suspect remained calm. He said very little other than he was originally from Nairobi, Kenya, and had strong community ties to Maryland after living here for nine years. But details behind this stunning crime remain a mystery.

Investigators say 21-year-old college student Alexander Kinyua killed his roommate and then ate his heart and parts of his brain. He cut off his victims head and hands and stored them in his familys townhouse on Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne.

Family members there declined to speak to WJZ about the chilling crime.

But police say Kinyuas brother is the one who found the remains, and his father called police.

Police say Kinyuas brother went down to the laundry room of the house and saw a blanket on a box. He pulled off the blanket and saw two metal tins. Police say he opened them and saw a head and two hands. When Kinyuas brother confronted him about this, police say Kinyua said they were animal remains and not human remains.

The brother then got his dad. The dad went downstairs and the items were gone.

After issuing a search warrant, authorities later found body parts at the home and in a dumpster of a neighboring church along Trimble Road, less than a mile from the home that the Kinyua shared with his roommate 37-year-old Kujoe Agyei-Kodie, who vanished last week.

There was inconsistency in the stories of both the parents that were there. We found out that their stories when they were interviewed a second time did not match up with the first time, said Maj. Douglas Verzi, Harford County Sherriffs Office.

But whats the motive? Police havent ruled out anything, including drugs.

They say Kinyua, while cooperative, confessed but would not reveal why he did it.

According to published reports, he recently posted online statements about cults, ethnic cleansing and school shootings.

Both Kinyua and Agyei-Kodie attended Morgan State University. Thats also where Kinyua was charged May 20 with a random attack on another student, leaving that victim with a fractured skull, arm and shoulder, and blinded in the left eye.

Kinyua was out on bond when he was arrested for Agyei-Kodies murder. His parents were trying to raise funds for his defense in the assault case, holding a fundraiser at a community church in Northeast Baltimore.

But in court Thursday, Kinyua was represented by a public defender.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of more arrests.

By no means is the investigation over. We are looking at every angle. We are looking at is there a possibility that there are other suspects? Verzi said.

The lead detector told WJZ he has no reason to believe that Kinyua was lying about eating the victims body parts.

Agyei-Kodie was a graduate student at Morgan State University and is from Ghana.
