Let's face it, Trayvon was a bad seed. Zimmerman saw Trayvon prowling the streets, acting suspiciously, casing his neighborhood. Trayvon was a little hoodlum, up to no good. Zimmerman called it in to police and went to investigate. That's when Trayvon jumped him. Trayvon was a thug, pounding Zimmerman's head repeatedly into the hard pavement, even as Zimmerman screamed for his life. Trayvon was a high school football player, the police estimate of Trayvon’s weight put it at 160 pounds. A witness saw the thug on top of Zimmerman, savagely beating him up. Trayvon had been suspended a number of times from Krop Senior High School for infractions for truancy and possession of marijuana. In October 2011, Martin was caught with a horde of women's jewelry and the aforementioned screwdriver, according the Miami Herald. According to a report issued by Trayvon's school district, on October 21, security camera footage showed Trayvon Martin and two other students writing "W.T.F." on a hallway locker. A security guard saw the footage, detained Trayvon and searched his bag for the offending marker. In the process of the search, the guard uncovered 12 pieces of women's jewelry, a gold watch, and a screwdriver, which the school's security staff described as a likely burglary tool. When asked if the jewelry belonged to his family or a girlfriend, Trayvon claimed a "friend" asked him to hold the jewelry, but would not reveal who that friend was. School police confiscated the jewelry, which included silver wedding bands and diamond earrings, and sent photographs of the items to local police. Martin was then suspended only for the graffiti, warned and dismissed. Trayvon had multiple suspensions on his record. We can get some idea of Trayvon's character from the pictures that were found in his cell phone: (no surprise marijuana residue was found in Trayvon's system during an autopsy)
Even if it was Hitler shooting him for standing or walking around is wrong in all civilised countries .
Zimmerman couldn't have known about the suspect's checkered past at the time, but you think it's just a complete coincidence that the unfamiliar young male who Zimmerman perceived was acting suspiciously glorified gangsta culture and had a long rap sheet at his school?
I think that GZ is a very unstable personality and shares a very common fear many Americans seem to have that something bad is going to happen . Innocent or guilty what he did was a very bad choice . Boys on their 17 are rebellious and hate authority , i was like that when young and probably you were like that , in all cases appearance is not a good excuse to stalk a stranger , remember the worst thieves are in suits and briefcases.
"unstable personality", huh? Well something did happen. Trayvon must have had a pretty "unstable personality" to attack someone just for observing him. Zimmerman just wanted to check to see if the unfamiliar suspect actually lived in the neighborhood. I bet the situation was similar to this.
You expect from teenagers to be stable? come on , their body chemistry is messed up and they don't even have fully developed brains ! Last time someone tried to check me i called the police and ask for the procedures to sue someone for impersonating a police officer, random people asking your whereabouts / stalking you in the street is just unacceptable.
And what about all those burglaries in the neighborhood? That was the whole reason Zimmerman was on the look out in the first place. Is it just a coincidence that those burglaries stopped once Zimmerman took Trayvon Martin out of the picture? On October 21st 2011 a burglary took place a few blocks from Krop Senior High School where Trayvon Martin attended. The stolen property outlined in the Miami-Dade Police Report (PD111021-422483) matches the description presented by School Reporting Officer Darryl Dunn in his School Police report 2011-11477. However, there was one big issue: Dunn never filed a criminal report, nor opened a criminal investigation, surrounding the stolen jewelry. Instead, and as a result of pressure from M-DSPD Chief Hurley to avoid criminal reports for black male students, Dunn wrote up the jewelry as “found items”, and transferred them, along with the burglary tool, to the Miami-Dade Police property room where they sat on a shelf unassigned to anyone for investigation. The school discipline, “suspension”, was attached to the graffiti and not the stolen jewelry. The connections between the police burglary report and the School Report of “found items” were never made because the regular police detective in charge of the burglary case had no idea the School Police Department had filed a “found items” report. Two differing police departments, and the School Officer, Darryl Dunn, intentionally took the criminal element out of the equation – instead preferring “school discipline” and not “criminal adjudication”. It was only when the M-DSPD Internal Affairs investigation kicked in, and six officers gave sworn affidavits, the manipulative scheme to improve criminal statistics within the School System were identified openly. School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho gave his hire, Police Chief Hurley, instructions to reduce the criminal behavior of young black males. The chosen strategy between them, to insure optimal success, was to stop using the Criminal Justice System to punish black student behavior. Instead they instructed the School Resource Officers to use school discipline in place of criminal justice. Another approach was the use of The Baker Act, to quantify behaviors under health HIPPA law secrecy by assigning the students with psychological problems. This allowed them to again use school discipline and work around criminal reports. Without the reports, the statistics would improve immensely; And improve they did: The final approach, to insure no-one would find out about the manipulation, was to change the Standard Operating Procedure for inter-agency information sharing. This new operating procedure was outlined by a communications directive in 2010 forbidding the sharing of Miami-Dade School Police reports to outside agencies without redaction. Officers had to send any and all requests through the public information officer. Meanwhile the stolen jewelry from the burglary (PD111021-422483) was sitting on a shelf in the Property Room listed as (2011-11477 “found items) gathering dust.
I just wish the police had been able to get there before Trayvon attacked. They probably would have been able to match his fingerprints to those found at the scene of the burglaries. (Arresting him wouldn't have been a problem, he probably smelled to high heaven of marijuana smoke at the time)
I never glorified gang culture, got arrested, smoked weed or drank alcohol when I was a teenager. And guess what? I turned out okay. It comes down to parenting. Trayvon didn't have good parenting, it seems.
pedophile drug-addict ? You mean Martin? He had all those naked underage pictures of girls in his phone. And he certainly used a lot of drugs. And I don't think we even need to mention how violent he was...
Let's face it, Zim zam Bam! only gets to be an honorary white because he's paler than the unarmed child he executed.
I really don't understand why you would ask such a question. It's pretty obvious that someone who glorifies gang culture is not a well adjusted individual and is likely to cause problems for society.
Unarmed? From those cell phone pictures, it's pretty likely Trayvon had a gun somewhere (though where he stashed it is anyone's guess). I doubt his parents knew about it. And Trayvon was reaching for Zimmerman's gun. Who knows what Trayvon would have done if he had been able to get his hands on it.
And Zimmerman would probably be dead. Good thing Zimmerman shot when he did. It was a life and death struggle, and could have easily gone either way. But if Zimmerman had been the one shot dead, it's quite possible we would have never known who the shooter was. I doubt Trayvon would have had the decency to stick around and take responsibility for his actions. At least Zimmerman was honorable enough to do that much and wait till police finally showed up.
