I saw two documentaries about The Donald yesterday evening. When I saw the part about how he purchased the Taj Mahal through financing arranged by about twenty different banks. When I heard that he had agreed to pay them a high rate of interest. I knew that The Donald had been guided by G-d to have a deep empathy for the situation faced by President Abraham Lincoln.

The subject of the advantages as well as negatives in Fed policy is actually quite complex.

I tried my best to explain how this is affecting the economy of Canada when I ran for the office of M. L. A. as an independent back in 2006. It is actually surprising how similar the situation here in Canada is with what is happening in America, (at least since 1974 anyway).

When well trained workers have high quality technology to work with then the total of all wages and benefits paid out to employees is only a fraction of the retail value of the products they produce. As a result of this fact the only way to move products out of warehouses is to extend higher and higher levels of credit. One problem with an abundance of red ink is that compound interest on all this government, business and personal debt over a period of decades will grow to astronomical levels. At this time there is approximately TEN TIMES as much debt in Canada as there is money. A simple explanation for how this happened can be seen here:

In my opinion this rather simple mathematical problem is perhaps the number one cause of inflation in the Canadian economy over the past three decades. This is also perhaps the number one reason why our costs of production are so high and Canadian products cannot compete on the world markets as well as they could under better conditions.

From 1940 to 1970 the Government of Canada put roughly half of the total money supply into the economy through loans issued through the federally owned Bank of Canada. Provincial and municipal governments could borrow the money to build roads, schools, hospitals and sewage treatment facilities at zero or one percent interest. In 1970 we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks. At this time it is ninety eight percent. This policy may be great for our banking sector but it was estimated that in the one year of 1995 alone our federal government could have saved roughly SIXTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments if we had gone back to creating half the total money supply through these low interest rate loans issued through the bank that is OWNED BY ALL CANADIANS.

Considering that our deficit was approximately thirty billion dollars for that year, simply by changing back to an already proven monetary and banking system, we could theoretically have had a FEDERAL BUDGET SURPLUS OF THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in 1995.

The massive cutbacks in the Canadian military, in health care, highway construction, social programs and education were profoundly affected by these accounting practices?

it's pretty simple really, every dollar that changes hands in the usa pays taxes.. BUT.. if that money goes stright to China (foreign imports) or India (foreign outsourcing), no more taxes are collected, thus gov debt never pays itself off, debt increases

Most North American churches have a desire to assist the poor and the oppressed. Well.. in 2014 efforts by a group of socially active Christians could easily transform dozens of homeless people into actors.. who are playing the role of homeless people.. and the specific efforts to help them could becomes scenes in a series of documentary and reality films designed to give the homeless people a job that finances their getting an apartment or at least a group home.

Most of us are unaware of the Worgl, Austria local currency experiment that was conducted during the Great Depression and how successfully it was copied in hundreds of communities in the USA. As a matter of fact it looks like what these communities accomplished played a significant role in inspiring the USA government to alter the monetary system in many positive ways.

City in Austria Printed Local Currency

Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the miracle of Worgl. Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgls local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.

Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the miracle firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl scrip everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using scrip throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local scrip in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the scrip systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the New Deal. So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S."

TEN USA STATES are discussing coining State currencies and encouraging local governments to initiate printed local currencies similar to the Ithaca Hour!

The Donald....... is not somebody to side with the forty states who are not yet doing this...… if he personally feels that the leaders in those ten states are being both wise as well as courageous.

But in the past two years, membership has doubled to more than 700. The currency's use has expanded beyond Bellingham to Seattle, too, where 75 new members have signed on in the past six months. Ayley estimates that more than $1 million worth of transactions have been made so far.

Yes..... this is a huge part of the problem but...… one of the positives to astonishingly unwise central banking policy is that it tends to protect the environment from even greater levels of over consumption than we have done even with a relatively small money supply in comparison to what is possible.

P. M. Trudeau made an error back in 1974, that may well come to be understood as one of the most important mistakes ever made by a political leader.

When P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau took Canada off the gold standard, (which incidentally had to be done for many valid reasons), a miscalculation was made that is the number one reason why our national debt has spiraled out of control.

But..... there is a very good side to this because all of us know that we humans have been in a somewhat similar mentality to our ancestors who shot, boiled, barbecued, roasted and friend passenger pigeons into extinction.

We are highly prone to OVER Consumptionism............. I addressed part of the background issues back in my 2006 provincial level campaign as an independent.

In the end ... believe it or not (sigh of relief), everyone gets to come home! Heaven is a place of ultimate LOVE. When we have learned how to become individuals that base our entire existence and consciousness around manifesting LOVE, we then become capable of entering the domain of the higher Realms of Heaven. I never understood people who bend and morph Christianity to THEIR idea of how they think it should be. Either you subscribe to the faith or you dont. I have more respect for people who take Christianity as is and then reject it, versus folks distorting it for their purposes.

States are authorized to make "gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts." And because Senate Democrats nuked the right of the minority to filibuster administration nominees, the new presidents appointees could not be blocked by Democrats if Republicans retain control of the Senate.

Actually....... I became convinced of universal salvation partly from near death experience accounts that certainly seem to fit with the recorded teachings of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus.

You are correct.... America's economy booming and a wiser approach to foreign policy will boost the whole world economy and probably decrease the likelihood of major wars. Also, while President George Bush was in office..... persecution of Christians and other minorities in foreign nations decreased significantly in comparison to what happened during the Clinton era.

Our job is to learn to see and be at least somewhat thankful for the advantages in each style of leadership......... and wisely but courageously attempt to steer our nations away from the worst pitfalls in that leadership style............ I saw two documentaries about The Donald yesterday evening. When I saw the part about how he purchased the Taj Mahal through financing arranged by about twenty different banks. When I heard that he had agreed to pay them a high rate of interest. I knew that The Donald had been guided by G-d to have a deep empathy for the situation faced by President Abraham Lincoln.

I do admit that the animosity between the political left and the political right may well tend to increase if he is elected President!
