Not really, it just looks silly. Please show me a picture of a male communist with long hair.

I doubt if the ward nurse allows him to have scissors.

Long hair is just silly, but please feel free to be silly. Short hair is boring and bland and easy to deal with. Men shouldn't be fussing over their hair.

As a child molesting draft dodger.

For once, I agree with you 100%. It irritates me that we have allowed him to be a spokesperson for conservatives. He's a nut.

    - - - Updated - - -

More than likely he's a liberal troll pretending to be a 1960s conservative. However, it was fun to play along.

If you want it to grow longer, cut off about half an inch off it. That's what my wife does when she's trying to grow her hair longer.

Next time you see a bunch of bikers, tell them they are hippie's or communist because of their long hair. But be ready for the ass kicking that will follow.

As a pro-life conservative, I'd be happy if we went with German abortion law pre EU. Up to 12 weeks, elective abortions are allowed. After 12 weeks, they are very hard to get--has to be a major health problem. Heck, I wouldn't even mind going back to Bil Clinton abortion standards (Legal and rare).

Long hair is less of a fuss. Wash, brush, tie back. Done. No silly fussy trips to the barber.

No, I'm fine with it just the way it is. Hair isn't a fashion statement for me. The less I have to deal with it, the better.

You've probably agreed more than you're willing to admit lol. Sounds like something Trump would say.

And long hair isn't silly, there's a word for it, its called being stylish. Having short, gelled back hair is just old fashioned, and limiting of what you can do with your hair.

I dunno, Jesus was the first communist and he's often depicted with long hair.

I'm going to preface this by saying I know very, very little about the issues between the Irisn and English over time in the UK. I can tell you about movies depicting it and not much else. It's actually a topic I am interested in and have asked about but everyone thinks they are qualified to weigh in so I don't learn much here. Entertainers in the US who espouse political commentary are not taken seriously at all. Actors and musicians especially make a mockery of themselves frequently...
Bill and Melinda Gates are among the richest on earth. Their philanthropy is unparalleled. They do not use their wealth or influence to make political public statements. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are huge stars in the public eye and press. They personally participate in substantial humanitarian projects they never talk about and they never use their fame to push politics. U2, I think has a lot of lyrics that are very political Americans don't understand at all. We love their songs but they weren't written for American culture.
Does U2 have a strong political message in Europe? Today? 20 years ago?

Protest songs were big during Vietnam era. Check Crosby stills Nash and young. Buffalo Springfield. Steppenwolf. Country Joe and the fish. Many others.

I know CSN and Young...Southern Cross, Teach Your Children and several Neil Young songs I like.
I was born in 1976 so I am not going to write some BS about music in the US during Vietnam. I can't think of many somgs 9/11 influenced, can you?
I remember We Are The World.. Do you?

This might be the single most stupid comment I have seen on this board since I joined. True there are lots of contenders-especially from gun banning posters-but this takes the cake. Jesus had Long hair according to most portraits of him. SO did Moses and most of the disciples. and so did many American Military Heroes

I was merely giving examples that you asked for Amy. My point is that politics through songwriting is traditional. Politics at the podium by artists is not.

Thank you for clarifying. Genuinely, I understand your distinction. I think in my life politics by artists from the podium have been much more common than politics communicated through songwriting. We are the World was the most significant song I could think of. And that was less political and more humanitarian/philanthropic. Can you think of post 1985 American songs with a big political thrust?

What personal observations stand out most to you about entertainers in America politically interjecting or making a statement?

Who, in your opinion, are the most notorious contemporary offenders?
