Yesterday, President Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was found guilty on 8 counts of tax evasion and bank fraud. Minutes later, Trump’s personal lawyer and former “fixer,” Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations, tax fraud, and bank fraud charges while saying in court that he broke the campaign finance laws at the direction of Donald Trump. (Remember, this is a guy who once said he'd take a bullet for his pal and bestie, Donny!). Amazing, a lawyer with a conscience. Whoda thunk? Let’s pause for a second and take this all in: Trump campaign chairman: Guilty Trump personal attorney: Guilty Trump deputy campaign chairman: Guilty Trump National Security Advisor: Guilty Trump foreign policy advisor: Guilty Some witch hunt, huh?
Deep State, I tell ya! Obama, Hillary, tarmac, emails, Benghazi, Strzok, Rosenstein, Ohr, ..Somebody get me a paper bag to blow into. I can't take it!
And which of those has to do with Russia which Mueller is supposed to be investigating? lol I tell you this, take any group of people and dig through their lives with a microscope and you will find lots of charges for something or other. Its a witchhunt. How about Mueller actually does his job and focus on collusion with Russia?
What Mueller has succeeded in doing is creating more Trump supporters, AND angering the American people. Corrupt bureaucrats CANNOT allow one political candidate off the hook for her crimes, then turn around and put others in the opposing party in prison. That's fascism pure and simple. Steve
Yeah, it is the biggest witch hunt in the U.S. since Salem, and it should terrify all Americans with triple digit and above IQs.
One that will finally bring an end to this fiasco of an administration. Shake a tree and all the bad fruit will fall, even if you were looking for the good fruit. Impeach Trump, make America great again.
LOl...How many witches are in a coven? How many more of trump's kakistocracy will bite the dust? And these are the best people, eh? Can you imagine the hysterical apoplexy of the cons if the Clinton or Obama administrations had been so swamped with criminals, corrupt grifters and foreign agents? They would have called for an insurrection by now. Ironically, they will try to mount an insurrection if their great orange hope bites the dust instead.
Trump is such a mental deficient that I would bet that he does not even know where the term "witch hunt" originated and what it actually means. The orange dolt just parrots talking points as he throws red meat...or paper towels.
Apparently at least one of the jurors was biased towards Trump and this may account for why they were hung on the other 10 counts. Fox drops this bombshell: Manafort juror reveals lone holdout prevented Mueller team from winning conviction on all counts NORTHERN VIRGINIA – Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team was one holdout juror away from winning a conviction against Paul Manafort on all 18 counts of bank and tax fraud, juror Paula Duncan told Fox News in an exclusive interview Wednesday. “It was one person who kept the verdict from being guilty on all 18 counts,” Duncan, 52, said. She added that Mueller’s team of prosecutors often seemed bored, apparently catnapping during parts of the trial. The identities of the jurors have been closely held, kept under seal by Judge T.S. Ellis III at Tuesday's conclusion of the high-profile trial. But Duncan gave a behind-the-scenes account to Fox News on Wednesday, after the jury returned a guilty verdict against the former Trump campaign chairman on eight financial crime counts and deadlocked on 10 others. Duncan described herself as an avid supporter of President Trump, but said she was moved by four full boxes of exhibits provided by Mueller’s team – though she was skeptical about prosecutors' motives in the financial crimes case. “Certainly Mr. Manafort got caught breaking the law, but he wouldn’t have gotten caught if they weren’t after President Trump,” Duncan said of the special counsel’s case, which she separately described as a “witch hunt to try to find Russian collusion,” borrowing a phrase Trump has used in tweets more than 100 times. “Something that went through my mind is, this should have been a tax audit,” Duncan said, sympathizing with the foundation of the Manafort defense team’s argument. Paula Duncan opened up about her experience as a juror in the Paul Manafort trial. (Fox News) She described a tense and emotional four days of deliberations, which ultimately left one juror holding out. Behind closed doors, tempers flared at times, even though jurors never explicitly discussed Manafort’s close ties to Trump. “It was a very emotionally charged jury room – there were some tears,” Duncan said about deliberations with a group of Virginians she didn’t feel included many “fellow Republicans.” A political allegiance to the president also raised conflicted feelings in Duncan, but she said it ultimately didn’t change her decision about the former Trump campaign chairman. “Finding Mr. Manafort guilty was hard for me. I wanted him to be innocent, I really wanted him to be innocent, but he wasn’t,” Duncan said. “That’s the part of a juror, you have to have due diligence and deliberate and look at the evidence and come up with an informed and intelligent decision, which I did.” ... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...am-from-winning-conviction-on-all-counts.html
Congress can't even talk about impeachment, the Republicans are so deathly afraid of the Childlike Emperor and his legions of devoted fans.
Where did you get the idea that a witch hunt does not hand out guilty verdicts. Were the Salem witches not found guilty ?
That's why the November elections are so important. If the Dems get control of the House, Trump is done and hopefully headed for prison. The Republicans that have turned their back on Americans to suckle at the sour tit of Donald J. Trump will be gone from the scene in 2020. There is a revolution acoming, yes indeed.
Every administration has failures, because every administration works with human beings, and human beings aren't perfect organisms. But Trump's administration already has a record for corruption that stands out in comparison to any other. That's not only bad news for Trump, but it's bad for America and its people, on many levels. The American voters MUST make a correction in the next two upcoming elections, or we may be beyond redemption.
I really doubt that the dotard in chief has any inkling of what you are talking about, but it doesn't really matter. The bell is tolling and the shame the majority of Americans feel over the abomination of a human being inhabiting the White House will end soon.
Sickening, but true. The Republican Congress is incapable of acting on their Constitutional responsibility of oversight on the President, at just the time when such oversight is critically necessary.
From what I've seen publically reported, and I'm sure there is plenty that the dotard in chief has done in secret, behind closed doors, it will take 20 years or more for Americans to reverse the damage Donald J. Trump has done to this democracy, it's environmental programs and economy. A lot of very good people are going to have to work very, very hard to repair what that conman extraordinaire has done to America. Make America great again; impeach Trump!
I believe you are correct. It is like when he calls out "fake news" and turns around and supports censorship and limits to freedom of the press. Trump is only against "fake news" and propaganda when it is being used against him .. fully supportive when it supports him. Unfortunately - getting rid of this particular abomination in the Big House would result in an even bigger abomination sitting in that chair. As much as I dislike Trump - Pence is a friggen nightmare - human garbage on steroids.
Almost poetic descriptions of both Trump & Pence--accurate too. Heck of a choice--worse or worser. It's a difficult time to be an American.
And the Obama administration gave us this.... * Adolfo Carrion - kickbacks from developers (Urban Czar nominee) * Bill Richardson - pay-to-play donor contract scandal (Commerce Secretary) * Jon Cannon - mismanaged $25 million in EPA grants (EPA Administrator) * Steven Rattner - pay-to-play scandal (Car Czar) * Rahm Emanuel – tax cheat and made $320,000 at the failing Freddie Mac (White House Chief of Staff). * Larry Summers – $8 million in compensation and speaking fees from bailed out company (Economic Advisor) * Ronald Sims - financial mismanagement, ethical transgressions and egregious abuses of freedom of information law (HUD nominee) * Louis Caldera – resigned over the Manhattan flyover fiasco (Director of the White House Military Office) * Timothy Geithner – tax cheat and told AIG to withhold information from public (Treasury secretary) * Tom Daschle – tax cheat (HHS Secretary Nominee) * Nancy Killefer – tax cheat (Chief Performance Officer Nominee) * Ron Kirk – tax cheat (U.S. Trade Representative) * Kathleen Sebelius - tax cheat (HHS nominee) * Capricia Marshall – tax cheat (chief of protocol for the State Department) * Valerie Jarrett - managed Rezko real estate scandal (Obama Advisor) * Jide Zeitlin - identity fraud (Appointee to the UN) * Erroll Southers - illegal background check on former wife's boyfriend (TSA appointee) * Yusuf Acar – arrested on bribery charges (appointee's associate) * Sushil Bansal – arrested on bribery charges (appointee's associate)
Actually, I think this will be a good lesson in civics and government for our young people. I learned a lot during the Watergate hearings and my then young sons learned from the Clinton impeachment. Here we have another opportunity to see why our great country has survived and thrived for almost 250 years. We threw the limey queen/king worshipping idiots out of here in 1776 and our great forefathers set up a government expressly created so that no power hungry, lying, cheating blowhard, conman can ooze his way into any position in our government and use it as his personal ATM or start throwing his weight around recklessly for long before our laws and our constitutional edicts come in and throw his ass out and possibly in jail. In the end, I truly believe that this experiment with Corporal Bone Spurs and his big fat ignorant mouth will teach us once again why America is Already Great and always has been. Maybe it will remind us not to ever even think about electing or nominating another obvious big mouthed know nothing carnival barker again. But it is nice to know that even if we fall asleep again, our forefathers gave us the tools to deal with it.
Michael Cohen has nothing. He's a desperate man saying desperate things. There was no fricking collusion. Stop making excuses for why the sorry *** Hillary lost.
EVERY administration has examples of crooked & dishonest individuals caught by authorities. The big difference between Obama & Trump is that evidence is accruing that Trump himself may be involved personally. Obama never was.
It was hard digesting the fact that Hillary lost to such a negative person as Trump, but I've made that adjustment. Michael Cohen was a close friend to Trump for decades, and knows Trump better probably than Trump knows himself. Cohen has a personality much like Trump's--arrogant, aggressive, devoid of normal values, a proven liar, and willing to do about anything to get what he wants. It sounds unlike Cohen or Trump to suddenly value "truth." But the situation possibly had such an impact on Cohen that he did elect to stress the truth over all else. He may be doing that--or not. Time will tell. If he is, and it goes as he stated under oath in the court, Trump may be in serious trouble.
