So in order for you to regain your "Constitutional rights" you would deny all of the above people of their rights?

Which Constitutional rights are being denied?

The little carona walkers have no problem putting you at risk to make sure they have the services that are important to them, while they quiver under their covers, locked away in their homes, like good little distancers

You got an RO of 5.7 and think our half assed distancing measures are accomplishing something?
    That is delightfully entertaining.

How, then, do you explain Trump being wrapped up in the fabrication? He has championed self isolation and shutting down the economy. Did he unwittingly comply with a plan that would see him destroyed? Has he been hoodwinked by the task force? Is Mike Pence in on it?

Exactly because in lots of those places those folks are being threatened with fines and jail time for practicing their constitutional right.

I am nearly 83 and my lungs are somewhat compromised. I have no illusions that I will live forever. This country has to open up to survive. There is not a reason in the world why I cannot keep myself isolated while the younger healthier people go back to work.

These people forget what planet they live on and the fact that one either works or dies.

    Sydney Brain and Mind Center:

Far more Australians will kill themselves because of coronavirus lockdown than those who die of the virus, experts say.
    • New research predicts suicides could double across Australia due to COVID-19
    • Modelling shows suicide rates could be four times higher than corona deaths
    • Experts are concerned there could be a generational mental health crisis
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...edicted-die-suicide-coronavirus-lockdown.html

It is becoming clear that the direct effects of coronavirus pale in comparison to the indirect effects. Lockdown the politics, break down the lockdown forever.

Oh...'threatened' you say? Those pics show people assembling without issue. In other words they are in fact practicing their constitutional right

I am not sure what you are talking about. As far as I know this is the first pandemic like this I have seen in my life time. The last one of this magnitude was in 1918. However, the consequences have been beyond comprehension. A high proportion of the population can no longer go to work because of the danger of catching it and spreading it with the prospect that it could literally go on for another year unless we can get properly vaccinated. It is not a major flaw in our system. It is a catastrophic event which no one could have anticipated.

I think what is being highlighted is how many people don't have enough savings to get by for a few weeks without a paycheck. Pre pandemic, all over this forum, republicans post ad nauseum about how irresponsible it is that people get a cell phone instead of saving for emergencies. "Everyone should have 3-6 months in savings for emergencies!" They got on and on and on.

Now, here we are, just six weeks in and what are republicans doing? "NOBODY CAN SURVIVE THIS LONG WITHOUT A PAYCHECK!!!"

Except that the younger healthier people can still spread the disease. I agree we need to take steps to reopen our society, but they should be logical steps that minimize risk and more importantly avoid the danger of a second wave which would double down on economic harm..
There are a lot of people out of work. Why can't the government use some of these people and some of the money to get crops that are being destroyed to people who need food. Helps the Farmer, helps the unemployed, helps the hungry?
This has to go beyond a simple light switch where it is either "off" or "on."

Technically you are correct, but does this conflict with the first right listed in the Constitution, the right to life?

My husband was self-employed for 10 years, just until recently. During the dry times, we used our emergency funds to get by.

So when republicans preach about having 3-6 months of emergency savings, they mean only the low wage cashiers at Walmart, not the self-employed? Is that what you are saying?

The younger healthier will most likely survive the virus. The key is not letting it spread to those who are more vulnerable.

Until we find a vaccination and a high proportion of the population is vaccinated, there is always the danger of catching it and spreading it. It will take a year optimistically, to get a vaccine, manufacture it and vaccinate a high proportion of the population. If the only solution in the meantime is to print more money and hand it out, we are in for an inflation which is out of this world. The concept is simple, you can't eat or wear money.
