Trump winning? That depends on who the Democrats nominate. Only 32% of independents, the election deciders approve of the job Biden is doing as president. But independents come down in favor of Biden in a Trump vs. Biden rematch by a very slim 45-44 margin. That’s a far cry from the 54-41 margin they gave Biden in 2020. Trump might win if the election was today and it was a rematch of 2020.

Candidates are important. Biden was the right candidate to defeat Trump in 2020. But is he the right candidate going forward to 2024 to defeat Trump again? That is if Trump is the GOP nominee which today looks very likely. I don’t think so. I don’t think Harris is either. At least the way things stand today. There’s a long way to go, things can and usually do change. Personally, I think the Democrats should come up with a fresh, young face. Not the usual old foggies, Biden, Sanders, Warren etc. Not anyone who has run before. A new generation candidate. Like JFK was in 1960. Is there one? I think the Democrats need to start searching.


I’ll make a prediction, if 2024 is Trump vs. the fresh, young face or Biden vs. the fresh, young face, the fresh young face will win. Neither Trump nor Biden is wanted by most Americans to become president in 2024. At least as of today.
