With so much negativity we see here posted about blacks (usually from conservative posters), what's wrong with discussing something positive?

 

Racism will never die as long as there are political advantages to keeping it alive. I still remember the first time I heard Barack Obama referred to as a 'black' man. The first thing that went thru my mind was... we've spent the last forty years learning to judge people by the depth of their character and not the color and their skin... and here's the DNC marketing Obama like he's a monkey on the end of a chain.

Democrats can't survive without racism. It's their bloodline.

The real truth is, the Democrats got rid of all the racists when LBJ signed the civil rights act. The Republicans took advantage of this, and specifically chose to pander to those morons. And now they are stuck with them, LOL.

The Democrat party, the party of historical racism has a vested interest in keeping racism front and center and deflecting from the racism in their own party. That is why they have to revise history to make the civil rights debate about democrats saving the day when it was democrats that were against it in the first place. Lyndon Johnson, someone who could never find an anti-lynching bill he could vote for while in the Senate, signed the Civil Rights Act against the will of his own party because he was a consummate politician and knew what it meant for revising history for the democrats.

New age democrats now have no idea of the history if their own party or of Lyndon Johnson but have bought into the revisionist story that democrats turned into republicans when in fact, very few ever did. People like George Wallace, Gore Sr., and Senator Byrd never did and neither did most local politicians. Lyndon Johnson was worried about splitting the democrats over his vote and some democrats did try to form a new party but were unsuccessful.

 

Democrats didn't "save the day", liberals from both parties did. Once upon a time, liberal Republicans existed. Of course you know that, and will do anything to deflect from that fact.

You also know that a scumbag like George Wallace was a conservative, and is undoubtedly still revered by some conservatives living in the south. You won't find a single liberal who gives a crap about a worthless loser like George Wallace.

 

We hope that is the case, the sooner the racists die off the better off the world will be.

I don't know of anyone that is against Civil Rights but do fight the continued race based laws of a certain party that always pushed race based laws of one sort or the other.

 

Scientists have isolated genes that are believed to play some role in height. This year they found another gene that is supposed to play a small role in intelligence. However, the number of genes involved in this polygenic trait and the small contribution of each gene to intelligence can make cause and effect more difficult to isolate. The exception might be in the case of certain diseases that affect the brain, but no intellectual differences have been determined to exist genetically along racial lines.

Compounding the complexity is the fact that biological factors such as genetic heritability can be conflated with "environmental effects", such as the level of nutrition available to expectant mother's and their children, toxins in the environment, motivation to apply oneself to intellectual pursuits and intellectual stimuli recieved in the home, neighborhood or school. Again, good luck proving your untenable position.

 

This is sad. Did you ever notice how black people don't really spend a lot of time trying to convince their fellow blacks that white people aren't really so bad? What is it about white progressives that causes this kind of behavior? Is it really just a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing you are doing your part in "the struggle"? Is it Passover Syndrome?

You would help the black community out more if you were honest about the problem with young black male criminality, instead of trying to convince people that things are just swell. It's unacceptable that a group that comprises 3% of the population commits 50% of the homicides, 40% of the rapes, and 55% of the robberies. There are serious problems affecting this group, and it's obvious that progressives are comfortable with it, just as like as they continue to be the most monolithic Democrat voting bloc in the country.

Red herring. The vast majority of genes related to height have not been discovered.

That doesn't mean genes affecting height or intelligence don't exist, let alone genes between different groups of people for intelligence.

We already know of at least two genes affecting brain volume exist for Whites that are not found in Sub-Saharan African populations.

Since brain volume is correlated, and most likely causative, for intelligence, there are at least two genes indirectly responsible for the IQ difference between Whites and Blacks.

That's the problem.. you think they are getting jobs because of their race. Sometimes this does happen, but it does not happen as often as people think. Most of the time people are speaking from a position of jealousy.

I dislike the principle of affirmative action. IT shouldn't exist for anyone, even white women. Its flawed because instead of thinking "I can get that job" people are made to believe that the evil white man wont give it to them and they need to control him. Whites aren't racist.

 

In republican areas in the south it is true the life of many blacks are improving. We republicans just aren't happy with the inner cities and ghettoes. Time to get them charter schools and proper security so we can see more good news like this. After all, can anyone here name one slum turned around by democrats? If not why trust them to do the job going forward?

 

Can you blame them? They work hard for what they have while others get to Obama their way into a job they didn't earn just because they are black?

There was no breakdown by race from MRI's obtained from these continents found on the link. Height is not a magic bullet for you but interestingly enough the same gene has been determined to affect height. What is the second gene that you'd like to discuss? Also, please use reputable sources from scientists who have not been discredited.
