This gene doesn't affect IQ enough to prove your claim. You call a gene that causes a difference off 101.3 and 100 on an IQ test the intelligence gene. As I said before, there are many genes which have a very small effect and only one or two have been discovered, without the potency to qualify as the intelligence gene. Note my comment about polygenic traits. I'm not backpeddling.

The liberal media hides it because the whole subject of problems of Afro-Americans is practically taboo and conservative media hides it because they don't want positive news about Afro-American communities (kudos to CNN for its Chicagoland, by the way). The truth is that there are both positive and negative statistics (look at the crime levels versus the percentage of the population for a more depressing statistic, or the higher number of non-divorce single parent families) but there is never any rational discussion of problems or solutions that anyone pays attention to.

If any particular issue manages to raise its profile enough to catch the public's attention (and why is it usually black on white crime or white on black crime?) "fair and impartial" goes out the window and the idiots on both sides of the issue are given virtually all the coverage. What about real issues like the higher percentage of incarceration of blacks for the same crimes that whites commit, or the problem of black street gangs and their role in selling dangerous and illegal drugs in many mostly black communities?

 

Yup, a problem. Whites use drugs more than blacks, but blacks are incarcerated for it far more.
