You don't give Ukrainians much credit. You forget they had a history with Russia. And they have had 20 years now without the strong Russian oppression under the USSR, and now they fight to keep that freedom. And you shamelessly belittle their desire to be a part of Europe. Does it really tear you apart so much to think people reject the Russian way of life?

Stories like this serve to influence public opinion in a general sort of way against Russia and prime us for any possible military action against Russia. That is, Russia is being painted as bad guys in the media. It's been ramped up bigtime since Snowden and Syria, involving every goofy thing from anti-gay nonsense and girl-whipping, shower-spying dog killers in Sochi! BLARGH!! to this hype involving simple military movements apparently to protect the Crimea, a place of strategic interest to Russia, in the midst of political upheaval in Ukraine.

Except geo-politics where you "need" to kill massive amounts of people ... is wrong. And in the case of Chechnya,.. the Russians carpet bombed entire cities. Only an idiot will believe that they were all terrorists who were fighting for independence. Them Russians also kidnaps massive numbers of men,.. and now their wifes,.. black widows... flock to Russian city's to show them how "total war" looks like at their expense. Nobody got some amazing moral high ground there.

And in that respect it's like in the Ukraine. A bunch of ethnic Ukrainians did a might is right thing to oust their pro Russian puppet. And so it's a might is right in their face back from ethnic Russians.

In war, you kill your enemy or be killed by your enemy. The size of the body count does not make it right or wrong.

You may favor the rules of the stone age,.. but
lots of things have changed since the Geneva Conventions.
And its world wide agreed that massacring civilians is wrong.
And so Russia was in the wrong with carpet bombing a major city.
Also, abducting people and make them disappear... is wrong.

Actually.. what you say is the way of the terrorist.

terrorist is a relative term. It is interchangeable with patriot and revolutionary depending on who wins and who does not. Regardless of what is or is not an acceptable body count to the masses, killing is killing.

And norms are norms. Who gets killed and how that happens matters.
    You can't go exclude that.

Unless you are a liberal, progressive, or democrat who supports Obama who continued a policy of signature strikes on civilians because it looks suspicious for a man to exercise on monkey bars, for kids to have guns with them when they walk to their uncle's house in a place where guns are common, or any number of other situations that could possibly maybe a few times out of a 1,000 kill a bad guy.

And so you're telling me that Russia didn't have the military arms to wipe out all of Chechnya if it wanted to, and that's why the Chechnyans were allowed to kill the children in Breslan?

As for Ukraine, which Ukrainians are you talking about the ones in the West or the ones in the East? :confuse:

I'm beginning to understand what Westerners think It´s "democracy". Very Funny, really...

    Arseniy Yatsenyuk

Like in the "good days" when SS "worked" in Kiev, 1941... with the Stepan Bandera´s collaborators...

This map (In English show how was built Ukraina.. From XVII Century to nowadays and how the South, East and few points in North are Russian lands with Russian people living there from centuries

And this is a electoral map from 2004-2012... It isn´t necessary to be Einstein to understand there are two Ukrainia

    http://www.geocurrents.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Ukrainian_elections_2004-2012_maps.png

the current Ukrainian state is an artificial state. Putin has the right (and the moral obligation) to protect the russian people in Krym and East..

"Democracy" according to EU and USA: The Führer Yatsenyuk teaching democracy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ARHpBC0rBQ (his "vocabulary" is...not exactly like a Belle Epoque Gentleman...)

You can see this image: It is not BERLIN, 1934, but KIEV, 2014:

    http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/6730/31331603.165/0_9032f_e6efeb7_XL.jpg

And this photos is the Rada (Parlament)... "very nice and very democracy symbol, really..."

    8wyt89.jpg

I hope Putina protect Crimea, the eastern lands and all Russians lives in Ukraine ... no it was won Stalingrad or Berlin to allow now than Ukrainian fascists, aided by Washington and Brussels, establish any Nazi State in Russian borders. Regards.

    This picture says it all:

In Syria we fought the terrorists, and now support them, in Ukraine we fought the Nazis and now we support them. In Greece we still hate them though because they protect old people from being killed by the Islamic invaders. And who says we don't have a sense of right and wrong? :oldman:
