Schools can't discipline kids anymore. I know I'm an old fart, probably older than most on this site. But when I went to school, if I messed up, I was spanked at school. Usually by the principle. Then I got another when I got home for getting spanked in school. Okay, today parents don't like their kids getting spanked by others. I can buy that. But when a kid acts up, constantly and impedes the learning of others, kick the student out. Perhaps a week the first time after a couple of warnings, then a month, then expelled altogether. I highly suspect the violent kids are the ones whose parents don't give a dang about them anyway. what they do or don't do.
Yes. Brought on by liberal ideals, welfare, promotion of thug culture, and the destruction of the nuclear family by targeted means.
I'm glad when any violent piece of crap is removed from the population, either via extremely long prison sentences or death.
No. I laugh at people like you who never had a voice until the internet came along and made you feel like a person. With the advent of message boards, you can now finally vent - anonymously of course - without fear of having to do so in public. Sad and pathetic your kind is.
Well looks like some are going to get what they fought for a nation of violence and poverty. Cops are now quitting their jobs too in record numbers all across the country. Some are retiring early and recruiters are not finding qualified replacements so are having to hire questionable people to fill positions. More like third world everyday.
violent kids should be removed from school, they are the parents problem then, school is for learning
agree, not getting rid of bad cops is as bad as not getting rid of bad kids in a school, it's like a cancer that spreads no child left behind doesn't work.... if the child wants to learn let them learn otherwise they have no business in a school
so do child support laws, it's a catch 22, the laws originally were to make sure those that could afford to take care of their children did, but now it means many poor people wont even get a job as they live a better life on welfare then get a job and take 25% of their income, i think it was also to discourage divorce, but I do not think that happened either not sure how we solve these problems maybe if children show violence in school, they are removed from the family, though not sure that would work either as then they are only around others like themselves and gangs form
Good. Liberals can't survive in 3rd world countries. It will be hard on the rest of us, but they will disappear in droves.
as more and more jobs go overseas and more and more products are imported, it's only gonna get worse.. we keep up on this path, socialism will be the only answer, for capitalism to work... people in a society have to have access to good jobs I agree, if both parties wont work together to address issues like this ... we will be a 3rd world country some day
even bad people can be victims, so attacking the victim in this case proves what exactly? a prostitute can be raped, doesn't mean she was any less raped if she is raped
That would never fly and you known it. When I was in high school on the Southside of Chicago we had alternative schools for violent kids as an alternative to expulsion. All classrooms had audio and video recordings and the parents had to sign waivers shielding teachers and security staff from lawsuits and allowing far more physical contact in the case of fights or confrontations. It worked in getting a lot more would be drop outs a high school diploma which opens a lot of doors. I kept up with 3 that went there and went on to join the military and get their lives together. The US should look into more of these types of programs. Maybe even make them boarding schools to take them out of their environment.
He's saying the opposite actually. That because so many good cops are leaving, police departments are less inclined to get rid of bad ones. This goes right back not enough good people want to be cops so departments have to choose to either get by will too few, or lower standards. Most are choosing to lower standards in the hope that some of the sub par applicants turn into above par cops.
I am not, I am proving picture before or after make no difference as to what the victim in that case went through, he is dead, only thing that matters is the event itself - lets not rehash that case though... once was enough
well one was spanked up to a certain age. the school in question is beyond the spanking age. that being said, i believe the disciplinary powers have been taken away from the teachers. this may have been due to abuse or other, no one answer. this school obviously allowed a discipline issue get out of hand. it may be unwanted, but cameras in the classroom, would at least identify where the discipline issues exist. with that knowledged a better course of action can be pursued.
