4Chan Claims To Have Fabricated Anti-Trump Report As A Hoax

Trump himself could have posted the story on 4 Chan.. He certainly has been the center of attention for several news cycles.

 

Literally ANYONE could have posted it. That's the point of the chans, anonymity.

The dossier was apparently prepared by former British spy Christopher Steele.

From Wilson himself: "I’ll settle it this way; if — arguendo — I had been their source, I hereby release the authors of the story, its editors, and BuzzFeed generally from any off-the-record/background protections of anonymity I would have asked for. Over to you, folks."

 

Today CNN was hastily backpedaling and insisting that it's not at fault for the fake news that it presented, that BuzzFeed tricked them. Buzzfeed tricked them? What the fork were they doing consorting with BuzzFeed in the first place AS a legitimate source for news?

From what I understand, CNN reported the existence of the report before BuzzFeed published it.

 

One thing Trump is going to do in about eight days from now is rake the directors of these intelligence agencies face down over glowing coals for being both incompetent and for being partisan leftist shills . . . or simply STUPID tools of the Left.

I don't know what you mean? Christopher Steele is the former British spy who put together the report. John McCain got it from him and then turned the report over to the FBI.

As for who took credit on 4chan...nobody knows...they have deleted their account since making the claim. Well, I say "nobody knows"...but I'm sure the FBI either now knows or are on their way to finding out.

People keep focusing on the "golden shower" aspect but that pales in comparison to everything else contained in that report. If even half of it proves to be true then it amounts to treason.

I for one never bought into pizzagate. I was never a birther. I never heard about Trump's visions of naked women on rooftops in NJ on 9/11.

I was very skeptical of Trump wheeling out Clinton's rape accusers, just as I was of Gloria Allred wheeling out his own.

 

So has everyone finally realized that the only hoax that 4chan managed to pull off was to convince some people that it had anything to do with this report when it, in fact, did not? Or are there still some holdouts out there?

I don't know whether the report contains factual information or not...and neither do you.

What I'm asking is whether or not there are still people who believe that 4chan had anything to do with this report.

I am of the opinion that nothing in the report is factual until its confirmed and should not have been *leaked*... Those who fell for and pushed this nonsense should face he appropriate repercusions.

Strange the report is the topic and it would not shock me if people like McCain were fooled by 4chan.

It isn't a "gotyah moment." Almost immediately after the story broke people jumped on the "It's just a 4chan hoax!" line. I'm asking if anyone is still maintaining the veracity of the claims in the OP.
