WRONG. They were mostly college educated and highly trained guerillas, about comparable to Army Rangers for combat effectiveness.

The air defenses were not design ed to deal with kamikaze hijackers of domestic flights.

I've read the files. 5 of the hijcakers were trained pilots. Most of them had quite a bit of experience of large jet simulators. Hani Hanjour, for example, was endorsed to pilot a Boeing 737 and had hundreds of hours of flight experience, as evident by reading the files. Furthermore the key members of the Hamburg Cell were university students. Intelligent, disciplined, patient. The perfect soldiers. They achieved move academically that you ever will. And you call them unsophisticated sand tunnel rats, what does that say for you, koko?

The rest of the 19, the muscle hijackers, were personally trained by Osama bin Laden, as told my Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. All they had to do was kill 2 guys from behind who were belted in their seats. They also stabbed a few of the passengers at the same time, just to hold control over the cabin long enough to get to their target.

That's what the files say. How about that evidence from your side of the topic I was asking for?

Perhaps this needs a new thread. This is, after all, a thread about thermite which has owned koko's small intellectual capacity repeatedly since page 1. No surprise he's attempted the derail.

Why would NORAD have develpoded a plan for countering kamikaze airliner attacks from inside the USA?

It has never been a part of our defense strategy, prior to 9/11, to expect hijackers to steal four aircraft and ram them into buildings. Thus, there was no clear strategy to deal with that eventuality. Most attacks by air were expected to come from a northern salient, or from aircraft carriers off our coast.

The best strategy for any attack is to be where your target's defenders are not.

Now, back to the topic of the paint chips. As I said, some of them already had bits of iron in them, and it does not take a lot of heat to melt small bits of it, as anyone who has ever burned steel wool can tell you.

so then the conclusion you want us to draw is that a small piece of steel melts at a lower temperature than a large piece of steel.

No. They just didn't have a plan to shoot them down. The protocol was for pilots to go along with hijacker demands.

Actually, you do not have to melt steel to produce the spheres. It just has to get hot enough to refine wrought iron for a high-grade ore by the bloomery method.

Did you get that from watching Law and Order? It's certainly not from having any actual legal experience.

Shills have completely overtaken and control this forum, is what they're talking about. All prepaid, and highly restricted in the form of content.

I'm not really sure how shills are paid to be honest (tax filings must really present a problem, I'd imagine).

Some folks replace ignorance with imagination to help them jump to conclusions. Don't you think it's weird that they get all uppity when others call their conclusions fantasies?
