Glad you finally got the truth there. People who get paid to be part of a service that murders innocent people on a regular basis and then claim they don't need psycho help.

Yes it seems pretty logical to you because you did not think much when you were writing it. You complained about me calling you kid and "how on PF we like to have reasonable discussions without the demeaning and hostile tone" and then you preceded to address me as "Grandpa" which totally contradicts what you were stating. Next time I suggest you take a while to think it through before you rush ahead and make a dick of yourself.

 

If you had read my post you'd understand that I used "grandpa" in a post that was in reference to my sarcastic post that you thought was serious. Grandpa was just an additional component of this "sarcasm;" This was in response to your attempt to discredit me by saying that you were old enough to be my grandfather. It wasn't a direct personal attack, try and understand the nuances. Attacking you would have been discrediting you because of your age....which ironically enough you did to me. "Grandpa" was a sarcastic reference to your attempt to discredit me. Do you get it?

Sarcasm is hard to spot in written form,it is more easy to spot when talking,many people do not recognise sarcasm when written so no big deal although some people would like to make a big deal out of it.

Even if you just count active duty, which had 1.3M members in June '06 (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0004598.html), that's like .002%...

No problem, it was directed towards some other members in more of an "inside" manner.

 

One of the silly claims posted earlier was that U.S. military women are more likely to be sexually assaulted than killed by the enemy. If one does the math (which I did in another thread) you'll find that this is completely ridiculous statistic because the death rate due to enemy fire in Iraq for women is actually lower than the death rate for regular civilian women in America. In other words, it's safer for military women to deploy to Iraq than to live at home where they're subject to drunk drivers/accidents/disease etc. This is the type of silly statistic used by feminists.

 

Hmm I think you missed the point of your post. which was that US military women are more likely to be sexually assaulted than killed by the enemy. What you have explained is that they are safer from death while serving in Iraq than at home.

 

My point is that female military members are EXTREMELY unlikely to be killed in combat. Trying to use it as a comparison for how "rampant" sexual assault in the military is is ridiculous. This military women are also much more likely to be raped by civilains in America than they are to die in combat.
