About time Christians come out of the closet

Actually, none of the posts here are filled with "Toxic" emotion. Many poster just ask simple questions. None of us were gnashing our teeth and writhing angrily in our chairs. Most of us simply laughed (I know I did) at the audacity of people who think that it takes religious fanaticism in order to have good morals and values.

You can believe anything you want. If you want to participate in a Zombie cult that practices ritual cannibalism then by all means, do so. Just don't get upset when you get snickered at. Also, I will accept Christianity when the various Christian faiths actually get together and actually agree on the same thing. Most of you can't even agree on what faiths are Christian and which are not.

I find it amusing that Christians feel they are so persecuted in the U.S. when there is a church on practically every corner. In NC, you can throw a rock in any direction and be guarenteed to hit a church. Your services interrupt my traffic patterns, are shown on television, and your members knock on my door to try and save my poor, faithless soul. However, despite the "Go AWAY" door mat in front of my door and the unwanted intrusion into my studying or playing SWTOR, I am always polite and even talk to them for a bit.

Christians are not hated and despised (except by other Christians). Personally, I just want to be left alone and stop being bombarded by the Holier than thou cultist that seem to believe their diety is more important than their neighbors. I feel the same way about all of the Abrahamic religions that are used to kill, rape and torture innocents.

OH and one last thing: The god you worship is the same god that the Muslims worship, even if you do not believe it. All three Abrahamic Religions worship the SAME god.

When you people learn to stop that crap and let other people live their own lives as they see fit, maybe there wouldn't be such hostility towards you these days.

In other words, mind your own business, and let people decide for themselves if they want to follow God or not. Stop imposing your crap.

If you're referring to the recent California curriculum change, yeah, that was a bad move as well.

Schools should stick with the facts and leave out indoctrination.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with that. But there have been a lot of significant black people and part of their context is the civil rights issues of the day. Gays are still persecuted for a large part and this is simple fact. It impacts their actions and motives.

Here's the news; the 'traditional' family is rapidly becoming a quaint, historical sidebar. Divorce rates are rocketing and more and more people choose not to marry nor have children.
So, what is the problem with not 'being able' to procreate? Many gay and lesbian couples adopt children whom 'traditional' marriages and heterosexual relationships have left alone. Only the idiotic, prejudiced and backward would see this as a bad thing. They tend to be the bible-thumping conservative type who live in some Victorian fantasy of 2.4 children, white picket fences and apple pie, cooling on the window sill...

 

So how many of those jerkwads do you know? Well you live in a secular country that threatens you with jail where you are lucky to survive if you are gay or with death in some state if you commit a capital offense. Who allowed you to interpret the bible as you see fit? As I understand it the bible is the word of god, the law and immutable. I should check with god if it's ok to mess with his 'word' before incurring his wrath. You really wouldn't want to (*)(*)(*)(*) him off...
