For starters the welfare laws are the same for white and blacks. As a youth my mother and I were collie ring for about six months till my mother found a second job to get off of welfare.
Secondly I agree the liberal system is set up to encourage fathers not to be in the home. Putting the burden of raising the child by the mother but mostly the grand parents.

I also think many people like to downplay the improvements of racism since the Civil Rights Movement. They highlight every example of racial injustice as exemplary of the norm in our country. Stories about how wealth is still unequally distributed, stories about how flash mobs hijacking convenient stores, these simply perpetuate the image of a racist society that doesn't really exist, at least when you consider all the nonracist and truly multicultural attitudes that never get reported. I will say though, that generally speaking, whites have made a great effort to improve their own racial discrimination towards blacks since the 1960s, but I don't think blacks have done much to improves theirs toward whites in the same amount of time.

My question has always been, if you believe that there is systemic racism in corporations and government... why would you name your kid some remixed French-Africanesque monstrocity? Why not give them a chance?

I am also not convinced this is the case. Seems to me black people with less impressive resumes get the jobs... because there is a lack of well qualified black applicants, and a requirement by government to have so many of them.

Like when I am in black areas of the city I live in, I fear for my life. Always dirty, completely different atmosphere, even places where people eat have bulletproof glass installed, supermarkets are awful. Often gangsters hanging out doing drugs on corners. Does not feel like the America that i had in mind.

when I am in White areas, I feel like a normal and relaxed. Atmosphere very peaceful, people are relaxed outside. Nice places to eat, completely different small restaurants, no dirty streets. Feels like the America I envisioned when i was in Syria.
