I'll look at your website. Please understand: I'm very pro-German. The Germans should lead Europe. [Yikes: I just clicked on one of the video links on that website, and my virus checker said that it's infected with a virus!]

I don't equate Germans, today or 80 years ago, with Nazis, who only got 32% of the vote in the last free elections the Germans had.

Many brave Germans gave their lives in the struggle against fascism, while powerful people outside of Germany looked with favor
on Hitler until he began to expand Germany's borders. If the war-weary French and English governments had done the necessary some time
in the first couple of year's after Hitler's accession to power, when he began to violate treaties, Germany could have been turned over to
honorable German patriots, and all the horrors of that unnecessary war avoided.

Germans suffered terrible racial persecution after WWII, including rape and murder: all spelled out in Keith Lowe's Savage Continent.

Not for you, perhaps, but for others: a fictional look at the military and civilians of both sides, by an excellent author, can be found in the
novel Bomber, by Len Deighton -- one of the best war novels I have ever read.

Yes, it is awful what they do to that site. You Tube doesn't even allow it anymore. Germany's enemies don't want the truth to be spread. It is almost like the story of the holocaust.... Germans are not allowed to discuss, doubt or deny it - they will go to jail if they dare.
Read the story of 89-year old Ursula Haverbeck, who has just been sentenced to 2 years in jail for stating that Auschwitz was not a death camp but a work camp, and that nobody got gassed in Auschwitz.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursula_Haverbeck
But Nazis and Germans are one and the same people! Nazis is the swear word of Germany's enemies, especially the US, Britain and Canada. "The Nazis are the greatest evil in the world", I could hear in my Television. Makes you wonder who is brainwashing the masses and why? Heaven forbid, the people learn the truth!!
IF the dog hadn't sh*t, he could have had the rabbit, we say in German!
Hitler was an honorable German patriot! What more do you want? Obviously, you have never read the treaty of Versailles.
    Yes, I know!
I checked your link and Wikipedia... Deighton is a fiction thriller writer, who spits out one book after the other. I avoid and dislike fiction books. I have no desire to waste time on someone's fantasies. Besides, I know well enough how Germany was bombed to smithereens.

Yes, Deighton wrote schlock Cold War fiction, not worth wasting time on. Bomber was a real exception. If you want to consult Wikipedia, read the entry about this novel, which you can find here.

To write it, he spent years interviewing combatants and civilians from both sides: RAF ground crew and air crew, Luftwaffe pilots and ground crew, Würzburg station operators, Kriegsmarine flak gunners, German emergency services people who had to deal with the result of air raids.

The technical-military stuff will be interesting to boys: lots of details about the problems of piloting a Lancaster bomber, or, on the other side, a Junkers-88 nightfighter, for instance. Or the challenges of trying to get people out from under the devastation left by a 500 pound bomb by tunnelling through the rubble.

But what I appreciated most was the detailed sympathetic development of the characters on both sides.

It astonished me that someone like Deighton could write so well. In particular, I gained an understanding of why Germans fought to the end, not just Nazis, but the average German, including German military people who despised the Nazis.

If you're not a German, and have a mental image of Germany at war based on Hollywood -- all cruel fanatical Nazis -- you need to read this book.

But extreme nationalism on the part of a highly-developed civilized nation like Germany is a dead end -- literally. .

We need Germany, like the other advanced countries, playing her part in pulling the human species up out the mud.

Leave the nationalist stuff to Kenyan tribes hacking each other to death with machetes.

No, the Nazis were what Thomas Macaulay called " the most frightful of all spectacles, the strength of civilisation without its mercy." In their scope, their ability to reach out, they far exceeded the primitives who slash each other to death with machetes. But their 'morality' was the same: my tribe über alles, along with a hideous perverted rationalism that led to putting autistic children to death, which is ironic, because it's autistic child-minds who today make up their ranks.

My opinion is my opinion. If you disagree with it, then explain why.

There is adifference between opinion and pure lies?

No ... they made a compromise and issue so far solved. Only the Socela Democrats have to agree too, but this will be in my opinion a minor issue, due to fact that particulalry they fear the alternative of new elections.

There was a very good VICE episode on the on-going conflict in Yemen. At the end of the episode, you see little children chanting against the USA -- it's as if you're watching a "terrorist" seed sprouting right in front of you. But in reality, can you really blame them since the Saudis are dropping bombs that are destroying their land and property and killing them by the thousands. And left in all the debris are the bomb fragments w/ "USA" printed all over them.

Fast forward 15-20 years, there will be a terrorist attack from a Yemen born citizen. And Americans will sit around and wonder how could anybody do that to us. All of these rogue, proxy-wars that never end have collateral damage. Maybe if the American media would shed more light into these conflicts, more Americans would be aware of the damage their government is (indirectly and directly depending on the war) causing and urge them to stop.

It's going to come down to a political battle between millennials and boomers. Obviously, this is a generalization as not everyone from those demographics thinks alike, but the reformation of US foreign policy, if it happens, will be divided largely according to age. Incidentally, the younger generations tend to rely much less on the corporate media for their information, which is a big reason why they tend to be less supportive of US foreign policy than boomers.
