I think they're ashamed that they didn't play even dirtier.

    And that they lost.

But they're already pointing fingers, having learned absolutely nothing.

Perhaps we need a little reminder of what happened to the Obama nominee to the Supreme Court. Let me refresh our memory. Merrick Garland was never even interviewed by the Senate because Mitch McConnell vowed not to bring the matter to the floor. Why? Well you can't have these kinds of goings on when an election is right around the corner. Nine months around the corner.

That is understandable in light of McConnell's promise to dedicate himself full time ensuring Obama was a one term president (it's on video. Remember?). Then the next eight years the GOP under McConnell obstructed everything Obama sent down the road. But now, it absolutely imperative, imperative mind you, to ramrod the appointment through ASAP because there is an election coming in a couple months.

Spare me the tears about, oh gee the Dems are so low. The Republican Party is capable of hypocrisy only a Washington politician could view as remotely sane. The election of Trump kicked it into overdrive. Payback is the game of choice in the ideological mud-fest of Washington. Okay Dems, it's your turn next. After the mid-term elections Republican's heads will blow off.

Did the Republicans accuse Garland of being a serial rapist? I must have missed that.

The Democrats would have done the same to anyone Trump nominated, even Garland.

The yearbook did say something about the devil's triangle...

I think we should get our secret decoder rings out and examine it again.

Most all conservatives know Trumps weaknesses, and would prefer he learn when it's better to say nothing. At the same time, they recognize that Trump has the ability to get things done that nobody else has been able to do, and those things are vital and good for the country- by comparison, the personal issues are trivial. I have a friend, on elderly lady, that rags on him every time we talk. Biggest complaint? He wears red ties with his "orange" hair. He has a big mouth. He's not nice to everyone. He's over confident. All like that. So I ask, what about the stock market? The business expansion? The unemployment rate? The cuts in regulations? The cuts in taxes? The return of billions of overseas dollars from companies moving back to the US? She says Oh yes, I like all those things, and yes he is a smart businessman and manager. Just can't stand him and that damn hair.

I told her Jesus wasn't on the ballot, so we took the best choice we had, and she will have to live with it....

So they didn't block Garland from getting a hearing?

They tried to put up Garland, but then the republicans decided to play dirty obstructionists. Even had Obama nominated Kavanaugh, those nitwits would have refused him a hearing as well. Their hands ain't clean.

I guess I'm a dem. I voted for Hilary. But it's more accurate to say I voted against the retard.

I am mad if they sat on this, but part of me wonders whether it just took them a while to find Ford's letter. I'm sure senators got tons of mail during the confirmation process and it probably takes a lot of time to sort through it all. So I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being an unintentional delay.

I'm most embarrassed by dems taking Ford's statements at face value just because they don't like Kavanaugh. I thought her testimony was credible, as was Kavanaugh's. I couldn't decide who to believe. But unfortunately dems started the narrative that if you don't believe Ford you 100% hate women.

The majority refusing to confirm in a presidential election year is not the same as fasley accusing someone of being a serial rapist.

Are you saying that it's ok to fasley accuse someone because the Democrats
aren't getting their way? That's sick.

I’m deeply ashamed Democrats voted a Muslim sleeper cell terrrorist into the whitehouse...since we’re just making **** up:)

Can’t believe Democrats voted for a candidate who is a closet racsist and lesbian who is too cowardly to come out of the closet, who’s whole marriage was a sham...again making **** up. Sounds crazy claiming things as fact without any evidence right?

This is what you sound like to rational people.

Correct. The Right would politically penalize their own politicians for engaging in a similar politically-based lynching regarding a qualified Left of Center candidate for the Supreme Court no matter how much they might want the leftist to be rejected. But that's because most Right of Center citizens BELIEVE in the concept of personally binding ethics as opposed to generally leftist embraced The Ends Justifies the Means political philosophy so perfectly displayed by the Dem Party leadership and THEIR leftist-allied Mainstream Media during the Kavenaugh hearings.

No ... You have them confused with Slick Willie who preyed upon staff, and interns. Conservative women have too much modesty, and self respect to silently allow themselves to be victimized by sexual predators like Clinton.

They honestly assume that people are stupid and uninformed and buy their smear and lies.... They are libs after all, they live in a bubble and they truly think that everyone outside of their bubble is a stupid easily fooled deplorable.... Their 2016 bogus anti-Trump sex-assault hysteria and their subsequent humiliating defeat taught them absolutely nothing.... As clever as they think they are, they keep doing the same thing, expecting a different result :confusion:

The GOP are really good at hypocritical righteous indignation while smearing opponents right and left.
