The Bible is the word of God. Jesus is God. The whole book is God's word, not just the red letters.

 

In Matthew 25:31-end Mathew quotes Jesus as saying those who fail to search out the poor, those in hospitals, those in prison and serve them will end in HELL - even if they are his followers.

There is a difference between what we want people to do and the fact that they are human beings just like we are.

Jesus had a full life record of serving sinners.

 

Like I said, none of us are perfect. It's impossible to be perfect, as Jesus was perfect.

Jesus said people need to be his followers.

But, Jesus also said that if you don't walk that walk, you're headed for Satan.

Surely this is at the root of what the Pope has said.

And, I do NOT see a way to match what Jesus said (and did) to what the SuperBowl ad proclaimed.

That is especially true if you look at the political direction of the major funding.

 

Faith in a higher power isn't for everyone.
