not all ice is created equal, thin ice is not the same as 10 ft think ice for example

so guess with out more facts other then ice is there, is not doing much for me

my words don't matter, facts and evidence matter

goddard's history of shoddy science and lies matter

No lying is what Cook does when he writes comments as Lubos Motl. The best you have managed to show is that Goddard corrected an error 7 years ago.

You are trying to create a false equivalency because you are butthurt.

The simple reason why you wont use your own words is you know you lack the competence in the subject to win.

The added colour effects are lying.

you don't know what you're talking about

all you're doing is showing that you ignored the facts i posted

goddard's debunked assertion, regarding the atmosphere of venus, was from november 2014

    again with the jokes

We will need much more data from other planets before we can say that either theory is debunked. Your source seemed to argue that goddards post violated dogma. That hardly counts as a debunking.

As you point out he is drawing from a published work. Who is right? Are both right to some degree? We simply dont know at the moment. What we do know is that dogma isn't science.

Competing theories is the essence of science.

You do realize you just made my case. The GREEN in my image is the new added ice which exactly coincides with your image.

    Thank you.

that doesn't change the fact that arctic ice has been declining for over 30 years

"August saw a remarkably steady decline in Arctic sea ice extent, at a rate slightly faster than the long-term average. Forecasts show that this year’s minimum sea ice extent, which typically occurs in mid to late September, is likely to be the third or fourth lowest in the satellite record. All four of the lowest extents have occurred since 2007. In mid-August, Antarctic sea ice extent began to trend below the 1981 to 2010 average for the first time since November 2011."

.... and the goal posts move!

The fact is that it has been growing and the Satellite data confirms it over the last few years.

I can pull up newpaper article after newspaper article from the 1920's, 1930's, etc... saying how it was melting away and going to be gone soon.

By the way... 30 years is ridiculous. But, what I have proven is that all your "experts" saying it was going away were WRONG.

    nothing has moved

your source is a known science denier, that has a reputation for shoddy science

his papers have been debunked over and over and he's gotten 'pants on fire' ratings

you can pretend like he's a reliable source, but in reality, he's not reliable at all

MY SOURCE IS SATELLITE IMAGES WHICH WERE 100% CONFIRMED BY A LIBERAL POSTER.

You attacking a guy and ignoring the SATELLITE IMAGES makes your whole standing a Logical Fallacy. You have lost the debate.

compared to the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Arctic sea ice is still at a deficit

based on the satellite images and data

you're referring to a snapshot, i'm talking about a decades old trend

"A satellite-based data record starting in late 1978 shows that indeed rapid changes have been occurring in the Arctic, where the perennial ice cover has been declining at the rate of about 13% per decade and the ice cover as a whole has been declining at the lesser rate of about 5% per decade. In the Antarctic, the trend is opposite to that in the Arctic, with the sea ice cover increasing at about 1 to 2 % per decade. This is despite unusual warming in the Antarctic Peninsula region and declines in the sea ice cover in the Amundsen/Bellingshausen Seas of about 6% per decade."

That must be why Alaska's permafrost is melting and creating a transport and infrastructure nightmare .

Some dastardly villain stole Alaska's ice and shipped it to the arctic.:smile::smile::smile::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Just so the point is crystal clear.

Not one Liberal (Global Warmist) can dispute the satellite images provided and the fact that they show a growing ice mass by 100's of square miles at the North Pole.
