Dodge: How can Don take us into WW3 at all? By going to war with North Korea who we sold nuclear reactors to a mere 2 years before placing them on an "axis of evil" list? In an utterly bipartisan plan initiated under Clinton and followed through on under Bush? With the reactors sold by a company Rumsfeld had once sat on the board if directors of? With US taxpayer funding assistance provided by Bush to help NK in wrapping up the deal?
I can only hope you will be right about people, but from the way people behave on this board and at protest rallies I just don't see much togetherness.
FWIW, the US defense budget is 16% of the entire budget. If our "allies" would hold up their fair share of the load, we could cut that budget in half. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...art-federal-spending-circulating-internet-mi/
Studying history is a great guide to learning what people can and can't do and will or won't do in different situations. This forum is anonymous and "safe". In many ways it's akin to the saying "a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts". People say things they normally wouldn't. They also say things that would get them punched or thrown out. Ostracized from others. Remember all those nutjobs who used to scream in city parks? They've moved to the Internet because it's safer. No one is throwing rotten fruit or rocks at them. In short, people say crap on forums that they'd never do IRL.
But the protest rallies are different and they tend to get violent. I just don't know how people will react when their pay checks stop and money is worthless then they realize they were not prepared.
That is total BS. First of all Social Security is INSURANCE that one pays all their working life and money continues to be added. Many never live long enough to collect a penny. The crooks take it out and blow it on their lobby's needs, welfare or wars. The biggest slice is welfare and free crap to ghettos, foreigners special free programs and breeders who never pay into anything. And then the other half is wars for warmongers in foreign lands. 23 trillion in debt and counting.
Problem is, in a civilizational collapse, most of the medical skills will be useless. If you don't have simple things like plastic syringes, infusion, antibiotics and fridges, or if an EMP fries you electrical grid, scanners, ca-meras, tomographs, pumps, drills, computers, etc, etc, what good is it if you are a brain surgeon or a dentist? Medic care will go back in the 18-19 centuries and only the toughest will survive.
On the Beach was a unrealistic book and a worse movie. Good fiction books: One Second After Lights Out. 77 Days in September and for the real fighters: anything by Max Velocity
LOL. First, you're revealing your youth and my age. Second, you forgot the Turner Diaries but I guess that's before your time too.
Really? How about setting bones, patching bullet holes and both diagnoses and treatments of diseases? Most people don't even know basic CPR and First Aid. Do you? What medical training have you had?
Cities will quickly devolve into mass chaos. IIRC, most cities will run out of food in three days once the trucks and trains stop running.
How many nukes would you consider "all out nuke war"? Part of the problem has been noted by others; an EMP taking down the electrical grid. Collapse the grid and the economy goes with it. At that point, we will see cities in chaos and communities trying to hold their areas together. I imagine the death rate will be high in the first few months. FYI, we probably don't have to worry about Nuclear Winter: https://www.quora.com/How-many-nuke...inor-nuclear-winter-What-about-a-moderate-one
Hell yea bring it on. I'm afraid to leave my house because commie and foreign thugs run wild in my nations streets, beat up my grand kids and threaten our lives. hell yea lets do the WW111.
Something got to take each and every one out -- cancer, car crash, coronary, crime, fentynal, giardia, heroin, mass shooter, opioids, nuke plant pressure pop off, snake bite, terror truck, vibrio, war, Young Kimshee nuke, et al. Don't worry, be happy. A famous homosexual said that we're all dead in the long run.
