the rich only give to the peasantry of free will, not under coercion with 'deduction reform'

this tax bill frees them from the bondage of lawful government force, so that they may be charitable on their own terms.

I don't know what you mean, but I'd like to test it. Will you be contributing your tax cut back to the federal government for debt releif or... well really any project you support?

I think the bill is generally garbage in that it is little more then trickle down economics nonsense.

But I ALWAYS liked the provision to cut corporate taxes as they are silly anyway. I would have liked to see the rate dropped to 0%.

All corporate taxes are just passed on to consumers and/or shareholders and/or employees. Contrary to certain belief's, corporations do NOT just eat corporate taxes...they pass them on.

It's not bad news for everyone to face the same tax rate. That's actually good news.

How do you know that? Where will the capital go next? Vacations, new cars, other investments, new tires, jewelry, restaurants, electric bill, swimming pool, braces for the kids.... we don't know, but it's going to the next person who sales a good or service based upon an individual's opinion of best value which is much better than central planning. Since when did the be all of economic growth begin with directing more money to the middle class? My guess, it's when they comprised most of the voting public.

That would be gov investment or incentive. If Trump suddenly wanted everyone to rev up consumer spending and gov provided incentive, we'd soon have a debt crisis. Sort of how the gov suddenly thought everyone d should go to college, took over the student loan business and developed a huge college debt crisis. You want to study boom and bust just follow gov decisions (incl the fed).

I almost 100% agree with this statement, but I believe the personal tax side of this bill is garbage because it left too many deductions and brackets. If we absolutely must have a progressive tax system, remove all deductions and have 3 tax brackets. Low, middle and high. Constantly modify tax brackets to achieve 18% of GDP. Cap spending at 17.5%. Voila.

Well that's going to make them richer more than just keeping it. Because of worker that's rewarded for his labor more will be more likely to labor harder.

All companies that have a large employee base would be wise to reinvest because yet you can have 200 million dollars today are you could have nine hundred million dollars when you have satisfied customers talking to new customers and telling him to buy DirecTV and cell phones and so forth.

I don't know why anyone would think they would just stick it in their pocket.

It is basically mortgaging the future to give money to the big money Republican donors. The few scraps going to the middle class expire while of course the repeal of the insurance mandate will raise their healthcare premiums.

The American corporations were swimming in cash before the Trump tax cuts and were using the money for share buy backs, increased dividends and for buying other companies or mergers. Nothing in the bill changes that dynamic.

You do realize that the bill eliminated the individual tax credit. That paid for most of the imaginary doubling. Guess you have never actually paid taxes. Net change is at best about $3000 which at middle class tax rates might save a few hundred at best.

Compare that to the savings for the rich thst come from doubling the estate tax deduction or lowering the rate on pass through companies and you should get a good comprehension of what the tax bill is really all about. Not to mention the special providions for real estate investors and the failure to repeal carried interest.

Scraps for the middle at best while massive special interest and benefits for the rich and of course Trump and his family.

Well.... That response wasn't even worth the time but at least you got to jump in here without admitting how good this tax reform is. I'd hate for you to upset your ilk.
