You know, the really fun part of this is that you'd admit that having such an awful person in the WH is preferable than the one you hate. That speaks volumes. I don't hate Hillary. I just think she's a criminal, and her policies suck. I don't think she has anyone but her own self interest at heart, and it shows. Voluminously. I hate to say it, but I'd have preferred Bernie to her, but we didn't get that choice did we? We got Hillary. Because she's so adept at being corrupt, and criminal she stole Bernie from the nation in her quest for personal aggrandizement. That? That is who you want leading the free world? Laughable.
Did you mean corroborated? And how so? Who would have started said investigation then? Obama? And isn't that something akin to using the office of president to attack your political enemies? How incredibly unconstitutional of mr Obama, huh?
I generally look and try to understand the factors involved in the train wreck. And I noticed trump walked into a soft coup. I have to take all things into consideration, which I could not do, if I were emotionally involved with trump as your crowd appears to be.
This Train was on the Wrong Track when it left the Station ... what part didn't you understand? Even his own people know he'a a Moron
There he has similarities to Hillary. Everyone she came in contact with hated her guts, including her husband.
Could money, possessions, or slavery exist in a state of nature? If you live in a world where the most complicated thing you use is still handmade by yourself, there's not much point to theft or accumulating possessions considering you would only hold onto them to avoid the inconvenience of remaking them. And slavery requires a lot of work to keep up, considering that without modern weaponry or technology the only possible way to keep a slave would be to watch them 24/7 so you could overpower them for trying to run away, assuming this is at a point where humanity has even developed the language necessary to coerce people. I'll concede that food has always been something people are willing to kill over, but I question whether violence in a pre-civilized world would look anything like the invasion you envision. Taking over a group of people and causing lasting disruption seems to require sophisticated forms of organization and technology that don't exist in the state of nature
We've covered all this before. The S&P 500 was essentially flat for the last 2 years of Obama's Presidency. It's gone up close to 30% since Trump was elected. Congratulations if you personally made out previously. However, broader market performance after the "new normal" of dismal economic growth that Obama wanted you to accept was mediocre at best. It's not really debatable.
You recited Hobbes to me, only pieced together through so many different bastardizations represented in pop culture that it completely lacked the coherence. I don't care where you got Hobbes. I responded with rebuttals that make sense. You proceeded to ignore my rebuttals in favor of repeating your previous argument. When you want to talk about philosophy, it helps a lot to know a thing or two about philosophy.
Just WOW? Kindly provide me with the fake news provided in my link or put your head back into the sand.
I'll tell you what ... you can have the last 11 months and I'll take the previous 84 months and if you're happy, I'm ecstatic.
Rubbish. You know damn well that when a family looks out for itself, first, that this is the natural order of civilization, due to human nature. For you to deny this, by the accusation of bastardizations is a deflection away from a reality which you seem to refuse to accept. What the family does is natural. A nation is many families, and yet what works for the family, also works for many families bound together as a culture, a society a nation. Hell, it is just the fact of reality.
New developments! Trump says Bannon has lost his mind. Trump vs. Bannon 2018! The battle of old, fat, deteriorating white guys has begun!
Resources are limited things. Animals exist in a state of nature, but even they band together into groups to ensure survival. The most powerful instinct of any living species is, of course, survival of the species. This is why technology, which can only be acquired in a safe, protected group with many resources is important: survival of the species. Everything we do and have developed from cars to space exploration is in pursuit of that goal. Slavery isn't as valuable in a highly technological society, it's only valuable at the lower forms of civilization when you have a lack of technology to do dangerous or harmful tasks. This is why it still exists in 3rd world countries and cultures. RESOURCES, no matter what they are, is what people are willing to kill over to ensure the survival of THEIR group/culture which is the reason war exists: resources are almost always limited and it is human (even animal) nature to fight for them. This is why communism/socialism will never work. Some group within the group will always seek to control more resources at the expense of others in the same group. Since man could pick up a stone and kill someone with it, they have been doing so over limited resources. Conflict, after all, was far more prevalent in more ancient societies closer to the "state of nature".
Well, I do not see you at all concerned that DC in no manner represents the average americans as evidenced by Princeton. We have much bigger problems than trump. And it is only because of an emotional involvement with the man, do these people ignore that trump is a small problem when considering the gov't from the big picture.
We have had this since 1980. Trump is not the first idiot. Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. Obama and now trump.
