That’s why moved away from the big city. Not regretted it for a second.

As places of law and order, yes they will. What you accept as livable is not everyone’s definition.

I lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana for 2 years. I hated it. I refuse to go into downtown Columbus or any other city for that matter. They are filthy cesspools.

We moved from Houston in 2007 to a small town about 1 1/2 hours south. 4300 is the population here, so much nicer. Only venture into Houston for a baseball game or two and the occasional concert. Other than that we avoid it like the plague.

Haha...if you don't know the difference between 'damaged' and destroyed' then you're just wasting my time.

You don't know what I accept as livable given you don't actually know me or anything about me. So there's that...:D

I have a good ideal by your comment on the condition of large cities in America today.

Your repeated post on this thread declaring everything is fine in large American cities.

Perhaps the people having to scoop up human waste out of the streets of San Fransisco would disagree..

Never said it was perfect. I was referring to cities being fine in that all these big cities are not going to suddenly die.

Which is no different than thousands of other cities and towns across the US.

"That city is a cesspool". Crikey, the pretend libertarians could be taking their script straight from Stormfront...

That’s my point. Your accepting this as the new norm. Go look at the murder rate in a Chicago and tell me that city is fine..

Crimes rates will tell the true tale. I’m not going to look them up because I’m positive that the large cities like Detroit are hell holes compared to small town America.

Incorrect. I'm just merely pointing out that these cities aren't going to die. Nothing more, nothing less.

Some would say they already have.
But either way I’m never living in one again :)

Neither would I. I just prefer rural life any day of the week. And soon enough the mountain life when my wife and I retire.

I live in a rural area, and at 2 acres I have the smallest yard on my street. There are a lot of horse ranches. My driveway is 500 feet long, and at least one a week I turn in at night and the deer scatter.

Spring every year is green and clean, really beautiful. It's nothing like those concrete cesspools. In those spring brings out the smell of hot asphalt and urine.

Ugliness is an intrinsic characteristic of cities.

Being a South Texas boy I think I might die in the snow in mountains but I can easily see the appeal of them :)
