But, according to your prior posts, anyone who believes in God is a sucker.

So you are a theist?

Sorry, so many anti-Christians ganging up and posting insults...guess I got you confused.

So you consider all law moral?

I already told you that the Bible is allegorical. You can pick and choose whatever passages suit you. How about an eye for an eye?

So what?

I was referring to that video. I saw nothing about Atheist morals other than hatred of Christianity. I am looking for some Atheist (or now anti-Christian) to please post a list of morals. So far, no luck.

Why can't you understand simple English ?...there is no set of morals called Atheist Morals.

The only thing atheists have in common is they do not believe in a god or gods.

Read that six times and see if you can understand it....if you can't, seek help.

Try really really hard to think of something DIFFERENT! NEW!

Perhaps we have a communication problem. What isn't written can't be read. If you have an Atheist moral code then post it. Christians can post the Ten Commandments....Do Atheists have something similar? If so, please post it. Thanks.

The golden rule.
Things you do for yourself die with you, things you do for others may live forever. Not mine, I used to know the author.

Just found this. http://www.universalmoralcode.com/poster.html

Thank you. They look like the Ten Commandments except for the God stuff which seems to be replaced by Earth stuff.

YW - I'm sure it was done that way for a purpose. As the 10 commandments have been seen by almost every american at some point.

Follow is not quite the word I would use.

Then you will never be helping to get rid of them.

I am pleased that most atheists I know have a stronger sense of morals and social conscience. They see the damage the right is doing and want to rid our world of them before their children get sucked into religion.

I have a posting/list I can give that shows the basic atheist rules of morality.

An answer to my simple question will produce it.

Should the highest tenet of morality be centered on the self or on others?

Please be clear and you will see my clear list of my top 5 tenets of atheist morality.

Regards

Most of those are in the Book of the Dead. That is likely where Christianity found them.

Morals were around way before Christianity you know. There is almost nothing new in Christianity. Even vigin birth. Jesus was about the 6th God/Man born of a virgin.

Christianity teaches that there is no greater action than laying down one's life for another. The crucifixion upholds this tenet.

So the Book of the Dead is the source for Atheist morality? Which version?

I agree.
You do realize that God did not do so for his own son, right?
You can hide now behind your trinity concept but you have already show that your father God is a prick who would demand his own son's death instead of stepping up himself as you and I would do.

For the usual atheist morality.

http://blog.ted.com/2008/09/17/the_real_differ/

You have already indicated that this set is better than your God's as you agree that the first moral tenet should focus on others and not yourself.

Your God focuses on himself before others which is counter to your choice.

You answered the last well and I thank you for your honesty. I hope you can do so on this one as well.

Regards
DL

Not what I said and that is why I ignore you as you twist what is said and I do not plan on spending my time correcting your views that just twist my words. You just answered one post honestly and if you do so again you will get a proper rebuttal. Not for this kind of garbage though.

It was never my intent to 'twist' anything. That is YOUR interpretation.

But the jest of the matter is that Christ told us he was the personification of the concept we call Truth.

This is very important because that one word then tells us the great mystery of "God," i.e.; his identification.
The Jews have long to this day claimed that God is ineffable and indescribable.
But, if Christ equates to Truth and is His image, then He must be Reality.

Please. If you want us to believe that you really think he gets his morality from the Book of the Dead then you are insulting our intelligence.

Sure but to those who abuse women and gays thanks to their institutionalized dogma, and will not give them equality, --- they are just laughing at you.

They will think you evil and they may have a point if true that for evil to grow, all good people need do is stay quiet.
