What the UK does and it's laws are not a concern of the US.

    Johnson needs to go.

The UK needs to hold a 2nd Brexit vote, to rescind the first vote (and stay in the EU)

They were before Trump and they will be after Trump....

They aren't a primary concern, but being an ally, we should be concerned if they do something against their own well being...

I doubt they would be happy to see a few states determining federal elections either. Nor would they be happy that Electors can vote for whomever they want, regardless of the will of their state.

They do, the idea is (usually) to make those changes to have as minimal affect as possible. Not to go for the most destructive option possible.

Yeah, just change the rules and keep trying until you get what you want. The left's way to thwart the will of the people.

You'd have to ask them... I'm just the thread opener here, not an MP....

But it's certainly possible they are hearing it from their constituents....

Work out a trade deal with the EU...

You could have even spent the last three years making trade deals with the EU while still having sovernigty... imagine that.. then again they do have a queen so who the **** knows.

The people of Britain said "Brexit". Which part did you not understand?

My point is just because something is happening in another country does not mean the US should ignore it or not be concerned.

My statement and quote wasn’t that difficult to understand, was it?

I'm suggesting that EVERY economist thinks this will be painful. And the idea of a hard border in N Ireland??? Let's get that NRA stuff going again. Long lines at every EU checkpoint?

Yep, this was a really good idea

Of course they can. However, realistically, if they want to do deals with the EU, they will still have to meet all the EU regulations. In terms of trade, Britain will effectively have to comply with EU trade / manufacturing rules (except for strictly domestic work) without having any input into the creation of those rules.

Are you saying that Britain WOULD have input into EU rules?
No. The EU would create whatever regulations it wants and would require any company that wants to sell into the EU to comply with those regulations.

I am saying both parties would have input that is how deals are made.

So stop trying to put words in my mouth.. Would hate to claim its flamebait eh?

I can certainly understand why the people of the U.K. want out if the EU, but likewise understand why they want a deal in place before they do
