You obviously didn't succeed... the fact that Ukraine's internal political structure is not Putin's or for that matter Obama's business and that nothing justifies Putin's dirty undeclared war and annexation can't possibly be repudiated by totally unrelated, conspiratorial Maxist-like article.

No US state can secede even if the residents of it vote unanimously in favor of secession...its against the constitution, just like similar attempts are against the constitution of Ukraine, Germany, Japan, France and pretty much all other countries on the planet...including (gasp) RUSSIA.

The UK/Scotland is an exception to this, caused by some historical circumstances not applicable to other countries.

You can't repudiate the contents of the paper because they represent the truth.

I bet that my English skills are thousand times better than your russian. :) You did understand me correctly, so the problem is not about my skills.

That is debatable. Once USSR was investing into industry and schooling and medical care of Afghanistan, US concentrated on drug making and supporting islamic extremists. But that doesn't matter and is an offtopic. Afghanistan was a flop. US entered there to support the society and has to leave being pushed off by the society tended to be protected.

Not even that. The most powerful islamic extremism is making war with american weaponry and with a huge human resource base. That is much more dangerous than 100 Saddams. Actually Saddam was a bad guy, but he controlled and unified into a nation a group of very different people. The civil disorder that started after that is the responsibility of US politicians.
The same happened in Libya. Americans should have the courage to elect the people who are more tolerant to other societies and values. Sometimes a guy like Saddam is a better choice than tribal democracy of terrorists.

"Not being able" is based on the knowledge of the realty and news. Russia is much stronger than Syria which US failed to crush the way it did with Iraq or Libya (although I agree that EU took more active part in destruction of Libya rather than US). "Not being able" is the conclusion coming from the plans of NATO to increase its activity in Europe.

Agree. There is no hope though as long as there are no limiting factors. Once the society allowed the invasion to Iraq and swallowed the lie about "Mass Destruction Weapon" the whole world was doomed. Actually the law is powerful only when it is working for everyone. Not just for 'bad guys'. :)

I am not interested in discussing 200 page long conspiracy gibberish written by an obscure clown and posted on the website with notoriously bad reputation. I was discussing Putin's dirty war on Ukraine and you are desperately and unsuccessfully trying to sidetrack it with irrelevant stuff.

States powers are actually vastly more powerful than just secession all though that is one of the options granted through nullification.
Constitution is one of enumerated powers only:

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people.” (Federalist No. 45 , 9th para)

“…the proposed government cannot be deemed a national one; since its jurisdiction extends to certain enumerated objects only, and leaves to the several States a residuary and inviolable sovereignity over all other objects….” (Federalist No. 39, 3rd para from end)

“…the general [federal] government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws. Its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects...” (Federalist No. 14, 8th para)

“…It merits particular attention … that the laws of the Confederacy [those made by Congress], as to the ENUMERATED and LEGITIMATE objects of its jurisdiction, will become the SUPREME LAW of the land…Thus the legislatures, courts, and magistrates, of the respective members [the States], will be incorporated into the operations of the national government AS FAR AS ITS JUST AND CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY EXTENDS…”[caps are Hamilton’s] (Federalist No. 27, last para).

That The Federalist Papers – and not the U.S. supreme Court – is the highest authority and evidence “of the general opinion of those who framed, and of those who accepted the Constitution of the US. on questions as to it’s genuine meaning”. The supreme Court is merely a creature of the Constitution and is completely subject to its terms; and when judges on that and lower federal courts – who serve during “good Behaviour” only (Art. III, Sec. 1, cl. 1) – usurp powers, they must be impeached and removed from office (Federalist No. 81, 8th para).

And the dirty war as you call it was in response to U.S imperialism which is the root of the problem. The paper I posted makes this clear. It's THIS you cannot repudiate because it is an historical reality. So it's YOU who are doing the sidetracking. I know it's convenient for Putin-bashers to ignore cause and affect while focusing on the symptoms, but many people are not so easily brainwashed as you. Bad stuff like the annexing of Crimea doesn't just happen out of a clear metaphorical blue sky no matter how much you want it to be so. Facts are stubborn things and you won't address the deeper issues that gave rise to both Putin's annexation as well as the subsequent conflict in Ukraine, as illustrated by the article, because you can't.

There was nothing that the US did that was illegal, there is nothing Russia does that can possibly consider legal. Your look elsewhere, look at US imperialism nonsense is not fooling anyone. Nothing justifies Putin's dirty illegal undeclared war on Ukraine.

What does iraq have to do with Ukraine? Sorry trout, you think you are an intellectual and an original thinker but you are far more predictable than most on this forum. You are merely a contrarian to the West, whatever position the West takes, your knee-jerk reaction is to take the opposite position. Pavlovian dog leaps to mind, not a true thinker.

PS If I was Putin I would respect the will and sovereignty of the Ukrainian people. Duh

Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion..no matter how absurd it may sound in the time when Putin broke treaties and laws, started a war and put the world on the brink of WWIII.

Borat, when NATO forces attacked Serbia in 1999, killing many civilians, in order to establish the current disastrous mafia statelet of Kosovo, Sergei Lavrov spoke very wisely at the Security Council. He said:

"Attempts to justify strikes as preventing humanitarian catastrophe were not recognized by international law. The use of unilateral force would lead to a situation with devastating humanitarian consequences. No considerations of any kind could serve to justify aggression. Violations of law could only be combated on the solid basis of the law.

Attempts to apply other standards to international law and disregard other laws created a dangerous precedent. The virus of a unilateral approach could spread… the Council alone should decide the means to maintain or restore international security. NATO’s attempt to enter the twenty-first century in the uniform of an international gendarme set a dangerous precedent."

    http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/1999/19990324.sc6657.html

He was of course absolutely right. Liberal interventionism and the right to protect were extremely foolish and dangerous doctrines. When propagated by useful idiots, even at their most high-minded, they were never more that a repetition of the old imperialist “civilizing mission” of military attack to eradicate barbarous practices. In fact they were brutally utilized as an excuse for resource grab and personal enrichment.

The Robert Coopers of this world have been hoist with their own petard, because it was always inevitable that others would use the same excuse in areas where they had power, to do what the US and its satellites were doing where they could. If you promulgate that might is right, you cannot complain when someone punches you.

But that does not make Russia’s actions in the Ukraine right – rather it makes Lavrov a complete hypocrite. As Lavrov said to the Security Council, ”the Council alone should decide the means to maintain or restore international security”, and the security council voted by 13 to 1 against the Crimea referendum. It is beyond argument that the man is massively hypocritical.

The truth is that the western powers and Russia are both vicious in the field of foreign relations and have little real care for ordinary people and their rights. The difference between me and you is that you refuse to accept that both Russia and the West are hypocritical in their approaches to international relations. Rather, you only see the devil in the clothes of your hated Putin. I have repeatedly said on here that Russian actions in military occupation of Crimea are illegitimate and illegal.

Embarrassingly Lavrov speaks much better English than Kerry.
"This morning there are three huge developments to report.

At talks in the Belarusian capital, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have urged Kiev to acknowledge their autonomy within Ukraine, but said they wish to remain an integral part of the country. LNR and DNR representatives urged the Ukrainian government to end their military operation in the country’s east so that parliamentary and local elections can take place freely. “The president, government and [parliament] Verkhovna Rada should accept… decrees granting immediate recovery from the humanitarian catastrophe, acknowledging the special status of the territories under the control of the People’s Republics, creating conditions - first of all stopping the ‘anti-terror’ operations - for free elections of local authorities and MPs,” the document with the republics' position reads. The document also calls on Kiev to guarantee “the right to use the Russian language at an official level on the territories of the People’s Republics.”

I will write an analysis of this position later today

Second, the Ukie forces near Lugansk have abandoned the airport which is now in total control of the NAF. This info is confirmed by video footage taken today.

Third, there are very intense battles around the Donetsk airport which is now considered "contested" and neither side is in full control of it. This indicates that the airport will most likely fall under full NAF control in the next 24 hours max.

Elsewhere, the NAF have shot down a Ukrainian Su-27. This is significant because the Su-27 is a heavy long range high speed high altitude interceptor and not at all suited for slow speed low altitude close air support missions. The fact that it was shot down indicates that the Ukies have practically lost their entire close air support aviation. Two helicopters have also been shot down today.

Stay tuned, I will keep you posted.

The kind of autonomy you speak of has always been the aspiration of those in the east not tied to Kiev. The conflict has never been about separation from Ukraine as portrayed in the Western media. So you are absolutely correct to point out these facts. There is a lot of BS and misinformation written and reported about this conflict that amounts to nothing more than crude propaganda.

Mmmm, so Kremlin-loving are RT that they allowed an American journalist and presenter on one of their programmes to openly criticise and condemn Putin live on air and unedited without any sanctions. The journalist in question remains in her job.

yesterday I saw RT posters plastered all over a building in Brooklyn.

they criticized Colin Powell and suggested American politicians can't be trusted.

I wonder if Fox News posters, criticizing Putin, would be allowed to be posted in Moscow.

Apples and oranges. Powell is a proven liar and sat in front of the UN board with a vile of powder claiming it was CW's from Iraq and Putin has an approval rating of 87%.

Colin Powell is a liar and warmonger and criticism of him is therefore justified, as is the assertion that many American politician's in positions of power cannot be trusted either.

Fox News is a joke that nobody takes seriously.

Did you mean this "Russian" army and tanks near Mariupol?

    [video=youtube;iqD_53W2mQA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqD_53W2mQA[/video]

Unfortunately I can't translate. Really I understand only "Allah Akbar".

After the end of the second Chechen war in the Caucasus was about 7,000 Chechen fighters-partisans. Today we know that 2,000 of them are fighting in Syria and Iraq. Where Kadyrov hid another 5,000? How many of them are now in the Ukraine?

In my opinion, there was no invasion. They just made it clear to Poroshenko that peace can't be achieved through military win. And real politics today at the negotiations in Minsk http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=371724&p=1064232541#post1064232541

lol!!!!! tell us again how there are no Russian troops in Crimea.

tell us again how there are no Russian troops in eastern Ukraine.

    :roflol:

all this, plus your assertion that Hamas wasn't trying to kill thousands of Israeli civilians, makes me really question your judgement.
