    I don't think it has to be to bring in the DOJ in a federal voting rights act investigation. Nor should it for a criminal assault on the street for the police to make an arrest to protect the citizens from violent criminals.

    Obama the Magic Negro-Gate

    This is how the whole thing started.

    David Ehrenstein, a writer who happens to be black and liberal, wrote an opinion piece in March 2007 in the Los Angeles Times called "Obama the 'Magic Negro.'"


    He argued that whites, according to sociologists, stereotype blacks as "dangerous." But whites consider Obama accessible, likeable and "benign." This, according to Ehrenstein, explains Obama's "crossover" appeal.

    The article insults a) Obama, by virtually ignoring his effectiveness as a candidate, b) whites, by accusing them of voting for Obama merely to assuage their own guilt, and c) Sidney Poitier, the brilliant, groundbreaking actor, for ascribing his success to whites who find him safe and non-threatening. The article produced virtually no outcry.

    Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh then aired a song parody --set to the music of "Puff the Magic Dragon" -- called "Barack the Magic Negro." Referring to the L.A. Times article, an Al Sharpton-like "singer" called Obama inauthentically black. Why, complained the singer, should white folks vote for Obama rather than a true black man "from the hood" like -- me.

    I remember when a garage pull down, that had been in the garage for years, was considered to be a noose targeted at Bubba Wallace. The FBI swooped in. A whole team investigated to find out it was total bullshit. Now ask yourself, where are they on this racial attack? Why don't we know who the woman under the mask is? We have a two tier Justice System depending on your ideology. That's not America.

    Media? I was talking about the OP. People like him see racism everywhere.

    Saying: "obvious racist assault by these leftist racist thugs " Is the classic race card. They see the color of the guys skin, so they assume the egg was thrown because of his skin color, not because he was a politician treating the homeless for circus animals.

    You might want to ask yourself how a homeless person suddenly produced a mask and an egg. The whole thing reeks staged.

    So, a guy wearing a mask would still be a big issue even if he didn't do anything. Ok, now I know you are also just trying to play the race card.
