The NFL has to give away free advertising if their ratings drop

Since I wasn’t refering to them does it matter? You’re implying that everyone who kneels
Is playing badly. I certainly didn’t. I was referring specifically to our star CB who’s been stinking up the place this year releative to how he usually plays before this mess started. If he got his head back in the game maybe he’ll earn another probowl. Or he’ll keep refusing to tackle and let balls fly over his head.

Like all of the other sports, television channels, sitcoms, dramas, etc. that gave away free advertising when their ratings dropped?

I don't think all Democrats hate the USA, we just see a subsection of the worst of the worst on here.

You tell me. You said they'll have to give away free advertising if their ratings drop. Of course you can share a lot of examples of that happening in the past, right?

I'm the one who asked you when it happened in the past. You have no answer, because you know it never happened. Nobody has ever given free advertising when ratings are down.

Btw it's not to hard to Google it..

When advertisers and ad agencies buy commercial time on NFL partner TV networks, they're promised certain numbers in terms of ratings and audiences. If the game fails to reach those numbers, the networks have to "make good" for the audience shortfall by providing the equivalent of free commercial time.

The last thing TV networks want to do is give back valuable commercial time, especially when ad rates for a 30-second TV commercials during NFL games cost anywhere from $500,000 to $600,000 for prime time games on Madison Avenue.

I never agreed with you. I asked you a question. That's why it had a question mark at the end of the sentence.

No advertisers have cancelled their NFL ads to date. Not a single one.

Nobody has ever given free advertising when ratings drop. Ratings of sporting events have been up and down for years. And nobody is getting free advertising.

It's just a matter of time.

This weeks empty seats, brought to you by.... Kneeling Ford and Disrespect Pizza!

Browns vs. Titans... kickoff less than 1/8th full.

Bears vs. Panthers - 1/4 Full.

    Colts vs. Jaguars

Tons of relevant teams were really bad. The teams are counting the season ticket holders that aren't showing up in their numbers... GOOD LUCK NEXT YEAR... because those empty season holder seats will not be paying or counted. Any numbers they are turning in now are artificially inflated.

All 3 of those home teams suck, especially the Browns, people still haven't finished making their way to the game and final attendance is what counts most.

That claim has already been discounted. Attendance across the league is down significantly, and that is with them counting the absent Season Ticket holders. You keep holding onto the lie that their protest is having not impact.

I don't care for flag burning either however the SCOTUS says it is ok so I will respect that. Yes everyone has a right to their opinion ...on their own time. You think the 1st amendment applies to you on someone your employers dime try going up to your supervisor and tell them you heard their significant other sells sex at the bus station. When I was in the military I was allowed to participate in politics, but not in uniform. What would you think if you saw police officers with pro Trump bumper stickers on their patrol cars. I don't know about you but I would soil my underoos and I am a Trump fan.

No one says you have to boycott the games, it is also your right to watch or not. I choose not to. I always liked baseball better anyway.

Anyway as long as the owners are ready to take a financial hit then that is their right. Personally I think they should grow a set and enforce their rule book

Pages A62-63 of theN FL League Rulebook. states: ... “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking.

I completely gave up on MLB after the players went on strike but only after they got a full year's pay. Remember that? I only watched the opening minutes of yesterday's Dallas game just to see if the players took a knee and to see the crowd size.
