The rise in college tuition is directly related to government funding. The government has made unlimited amounts of money available for loans. That means the kids gave cash in their pockets. That allows colleges to raise prices. More government = more problems.
Almost all college students are "poor". Big deal. My father lived on hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, and soup during his four years at college. Then he had a very successful career in business. That's life.
Yep and that is one HIGH fat HIGH calorie diet. He was lucky in that he probably had good nutrition BEFORE those four years and so his body did not suffer too much
Do you realize that the article does not attribute that quote to Trump anywhere in the article? It does not say when he said it....it does not say where he said it....and there is no quote in the article of his even saying it except in the title. And it isn't even in quotes....just apostrophes.
I took that survey. One of the criteria was 'do you eat 3 meals a day?' and a 'no' answer meant you were 'going hungry'. I chose to not eat breakfast because back then I valued sleeping in more. I wasn't 'going hungry'.
Texas Republican has it right on. Remove the federal gov't from finnical aid, and you will see college costs fall like a rock.
This is a good thing for students. Have them pay $10 for a roll of toilet paper and starve and they can experience what socialism is all about.
This is a pretty silly thing to say "tuition or dinner". Everyone knows with student loans no one actually pays tuition out of their pocket while in college. I am calling BS on the OP.
employment is at the will of either party in our at-will employment States; what student would not be better off with recourse to unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed?
So what? The OP claims students have to choose between "tuition or dinner". No one pays tuition out of their own pocket while in college.
i know what at the will of either party means; what student would not be better off with recourse to unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed?
