It was a Turkish administration takeover rather than am ethnic takeover. And it was centuries prior. Quite a different scenario. The local Palestinians had little problem with local powers ruling the place. It was the direct threat to their homes, villages and landscape they objected to.

Uh no. Jees Oxymoron try harder. The crisis situation had been developing for months and even years.

Even despite that the local powers cobbled token forces of what they had been left by imperial Europe and went in with no coordination no plan no supplies and operated independently. The only forces with credible unity and training were the British led Arab legion .

They were regularly attacked in Germany. Then they were banned. Then they were massacred almost completely. That's not just some men but whole families. Grandma and Grandpa too. Should I mention France and stuff like the dreyfuss affair?

to be fare he was comparing those in areas of dispute where they burn down the homes of people that live there and then move in and settle there, but bad choice of words none the less, sounded like a republican, political correctness is important, you can't just say the first thing that pops in your mind

Actually, anti-semitism is popping up all over the place. It doesn't happen in a vacuum. Nothing ever does.

this is why religious freedom is so important, the majority in Germany were Christians, they did not like the Jewish folks and wanted them gone

    - - - Updated - - -

if I were to guess... Christian or Muslim Conservative, they tend to think Jews are flawed....

It's coming from both sides. The fact that is coming from the left is just a little more recent and it is a reaction to the very far right pro-Israel faction.

Prior to Turkish takeover the Caliphate ruled this area from Egypt and butchered christian pilgrims, forced christians to pay taxes to live in Jerusalem, and destroyed the holiest church.

Token forces that had armor, personal carriers, planes, artillery...yeah token.... the Arabs were itching at the chance to ethinically cleanse the Jews out of Israel that is why they had such large forces well equipped ready for battle.

Fascinating. And so what? We're going right back to the middle ages.

Yes they had some heavy elements. They had little training in them and few ways to resupply them. And man for man they were outnumbered in the ground by Zionist forces. They were not well equipped and they were not ready for battle. You need to get real here. This is the third world your talking about here.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes. And long before that they felt that going to Palestine was a safe option for them. Ronstar is trying to deny that.

Until a few years ago support for Israel came from both parties. Conservative support has been consistent while support from Democrats/leftists has deteriorated to the point of being openly hostile. It was hardly a reaction to the very far right - whatever that is.

The Arabs still get to do most of the work in the region that makes the industry thrive, they just don't get the profits any more.

The very far right is, of course, the neoconservative movement in the U.S. that brought us the Iraq invasion and the Likud Party and religious right in Israel that is never going to allow peace. I'm left of center and I detest the dirty bastids. Didn't used to until I got a load of Perle, Wolfowitz, Kristol, Judith Miller, et al.

Exactly how and precisely when did American conservatives bring you (?) the religious right in Israel?

I thought leftists were supposed to be tolerant, not detest people they disagree with.

I believe I should have put parentheses around (that brought us the Iraq invasion).

    You're kidding, right?

No, I'm not. Does that mean leftists are intolerant?

So when and how did conservatives bring about all the things you mentioned?

Because termites leave your house much better than how they found it.

    I just love these analogies.

    Palestinians are like lawn mowers.

    Congressmen are like prostitutes.

In addition to additional acts of Genocidal Terrorism, Israel's delusional psycho-Settlers also destroy wood:

“PALESTINE: JEWISH SETTLERS TORCH 100 OF WORLD’S OLDEST OLIVE TREES”
    http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/battle-bet...fought-olive-fields-100-trees-torched-1471595
Israeli settlers in the northern occupied West Bank have razed to the ground huge swathes of Palestinian-owned agricultural land in the town of Huwara, according to reports.

Olive trees in Israel hold vast religious and cultural significance to both Jews and Palestinians. As well as being the livelihood of many Palestinian farmers, the trees are thought to be the "oldest on Earth" and are mentioned in the Old Testament numerous times.

Olive trees in the Garden of Gethsemane near the Old City of Jerusalem are believed to be up to 900 years old and belong to the same lineage as the olive trees among which Jesus Christ prayed the night before his crucifixion.
The mayor of Huwara said that Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian citizens from reaching the lands in order to extinguish the fire."CONTINUED

Jerusalem was majority Jewish, the rest of Israel's territories were not.

During the Nakba, or Palestinian Exodus Israel's Jews kicked out, or scared out many Palestinian Arabs, to make way for Israel.

You would be if you said that all Islamic radicals and their families are scum which is sort of like saying that all those in settlements are termites as nobody has stated that only the heads of the households are termites rather all are.
