It certainly does and they still have an opportunity to do so by embracing peace rather than violence. All they need to do is rescind their declaration of war against Israel, strike their violent destruction from their respective charters and allow a trust period to take place and then negotiate for their land. If they do not then Israel will assume that they don't want that land and continue to defend themselves from attack while using that land to allow for that defense.

 

Israel has killed more Palestinians, than Palestinians have killed Israelis though.

Well, when a people have lived in a region for thousands of years, how can you expect them to not object to another people coming in, and building another nation upon their own?

 

Jews lived there for thousands of years as well and now Israel is an accepted fact with eight million people living there who are not going anywhere yet Hamas still won't accept that fact preferring to have their people live in squalor.

Most Jews in Israel were living for thousands of years outside of Israel.

 

That's going back a lot farther than when the Native Americans lived in North America before the European settlers took their land and confined them to the squalor of reservations.

 

The Nakba against Palestinians clearly resembles the Trail of Tears against Native Americans.
