So they can provide any answer they chose and you won't take them to the mat?

Cool. Because this thread certainly looks like a trap. Glad you cleared that up.

It is. He can then plead insanity in his plea deal. I would be sympathetic to him on that. An Institution might be better for him than jail.

He leaked the name of a Covert Agent to the press. Who he leaked it to and when is a very minor issue.

I'm with you, Bro. But you say your girl friend asked you that under oath before a Grand Jury?

My preference would be intelligent answers. If the answer is an attempt to mock the question, my follow-up goes accordingly.

How could it be a trap? An honest intelligent person can provide a serious answer. If somebody really believes that it's a "perjury trap" they should be able to explain in what way. Shouldn't they? In what way would an hones intelligent person who really believes that be "trapped"?

I take serious responses seriously, and non-serious responses in the corresponding manner.

BTW, do you have a serious response? Or is there simply no explanation as to what this "perjury trap" means in the real world as it relates to Trump?

Or do you really think that a Grand Jury would indict the President of the United States of America if he fails to remember what he did on a random date months ago? Am I supposed to take that as a serious response?

What is the latest fabrication coming out of the White House?

Trump still wants to talk with special counsel Robert Mueller despite his lawyers urging him not to sit for an interview, CNN reported, citing Trump allies.

One person familiar with the President's thinking told CNN that Trump wants to talk with Mueller because the President thinks he is completely innocent. That is funny, not to mention naive.

It is difficult to believe anything Trump says these days, especially when it comes to things like the Russian probe, Nunes memo, Mueller, the FBI, and the DOJ..Many disbelieve this assertion. Trump wants Americans to believe that he is willing to talk to Mueller because he is innocent, but, "Aw, gee, my lawyers say I shouldn't. Sorry about that."

When can we believe him? When he is sitting in front of Mueller answering questions from the special prosecutor.

Then, and only then. Until, if, that happens, the White House is lying, plain and simple.

Hint of things to come: Corey Lewandowski and Steve Bannon, at the urging of the White House, are refusing to volunteer further testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Any further testimony will require a subpoena.

Obviously, they are hiding something. They are not being charged with a crime. So, it has something to do with Trump and the Russian interference in our election. After all, that is what the House Intelligence Committee, supposedly, is investigating.

That's not "questioning". That is "interrogation" and it won't happen. There's too much respect for the office and the investigation.

They shall have their subpoenas. We can be patient. One would think that they would rather this be over as far ahead of the fireworks in the midterms. But that would only be the case if they were innocent.

Oh, you think so? I liked how you started out with a post pretending to be innocent, but at the end of the day you really look more like the king's fool. Could you dance a little for us, and get those bells on your hat to jingle just a bit? I think you are going to be in for a bit of a shock. :roflol:

Nah..........the only thing she didn't end up with was leg irons in a 4x4 cell. The Queen of Skankery couldn't be trifled with. So she simply shouted, "Anyone not willing to accept the results of an election, is a danger to our democracy".

For someone who pretends to be a retired LEO, you show a lot of ignorance on a subject that LEO’s are very familiar with. Makes me wonder...

One cannot be charged with perjury unless they lie about something that is material matter to the outcome of the legal proceeding.

Perjury is the intentional act of swearing a false oath or falsifying an affirmation to tell the truth, whether spoken or in writing, concerning matters material to an official proceeding.[1][A] Contrary to popular misconception, no crime has occurred when a false statement is (intentionally or unintentionally) made while under oath or subject to penalty. Instead, criminal culpability attaches only at the instant the declarant falsely asserts the truth of statements (made or to be made) that are material to the outcome of the proceeding. For example, it is not perjury to lie about one's age except if age is a fact material to influencing the legal result, such as eligibility for old age retirement benefits or whether a person was of an age to have legal capacity.
