And what is that threshold of proof? The military isn't a private business. You conceded when you posted an ad hominem. Remember Socrates words? - - - Updated - - - You don't have to be baptized to attend services. Nice try. Scientology requires a first step fee of 300 dollars to even learn anything about it. You pay a fee for marriage as well. And not everybody has to receive all of the sacraments in order to be Catholic. You don't have to pay to find out anything. I know it's a nice try and a success. - - - Updated - - - And what is that threshold of proof? The military isn't a private business. You conceded when you posted an ad hominem. Again, I am on a board of directors of a Church. I have been to Court. I have been successful in Court. Understand so far ?
You keep ignoring my answers, a Yarmulke is not a hat, neither is any Orthodox Jewish head gear, Courts recognize this and Jewish head gear is exempt from the Courts rule on hats. Also, Catholics will fund 100 % of any costs of being a practicing Catholic, if you can't afford to pay, charity is very big in the Catholic Church.
Your answers are pointless drivel. A spouse is something very deeply tied to religion that isn't a form of head gear. The court has yet to rule on it, they haven't had to. Scientologists won't. - - - Updated - - - Case of what?
You apparently have a faulty understanding of what protected classes are. These are the ones codified in federal law: Race Color Religion National Origin Age Sex Pregnancy Citizenship Familial status Disability status Veteran status Genetic Information I will just note here that these protections are not based on citizenship, so the person you responded to is wrong as well. Every person has a race, color, national origin, age, sex, citizenship status, and familial status. So these classifications protect everyone, though in truth the aim is usually to protect people within those classifications that are commonly the target of discrimination. As for religion, I don't recall whether this also protects those who espouse no religious beliefs. Pregnancy would seem to be the obvious exception in this list, since as of this writing, only women experience pregnancy. Disability status and veteran status also look like exceptions, though I suppose not being disabled and not being a veteran are technically a negative status within those classifications. All that said, your claim was clearly to deny that "every citizen is in a protected class". It's clear to me that they are, though not necessarily a member of every protected class. So clearly you're mistaken in your denial of the other person's claim.
I do not see sexual orientation which is the point of this thread - - - Updated - - - Perhaps....but in the end also correct. Lol
Obviously dodging the actual point, which is that you were wrong in the specific claim you made. Sexual Orientation isn't specifically codified as a protected class in federal law. This is where I remind people that there's a difference between protected classes codified in law, and being a member of a suspect class as found by a court in analyzing the claims brought forth in a law suit.
And back to the point of the thread that claiming gay is a religion would offer you no protection of your rights
Yes, it would. Your claim of lack of protection of civil rights by a religion is akin to claiming, the only way to get water to refresh your forehead, is to knock a hole in the bottom of your row boat, sinking it, rather than dip a napkin over the side of the boat.
No it wouldn't as proven by it never has yet and never will. Gays should demand an equal seat at the table of rights.....not resort to tricks that insult the intelligence of any reasonable person
And Gays will never have an Equal seat as long as Bigots are in charge ! Bigots are not "REASONABLE" towards Gays, never have been never will. Gays with their own Religion for Gays affects none but Gays anyway, why should anyone else care if GAYS have a GAY religion ???? NOW, if GAYS demand time and a local chapter in YOUR CHURCH, and want to control your church, that is the time to object.
You are simply wasting your time. No one has even tried this idea for a reason....it would never work. You could be doing something more productive....like fighting for actual equality
Yeah, lot's O luck waiting for Bigots to dole out equality and Justice for ALL PEOPLE with a tiny eye dropper, while the forest fire of Bigotry and Racial Injustice and Organised hatred of Minorities, and resulting discontent, is consuming an entire Nation !!!! The Bigots are in charge of the store, yet you expect them to do the right thing for hated and despised Minorities ??? They never did in the past, why would they start now ?
I do know this; if Stupidity were a Religion, And Ignorance Declared virtue, Many People would immediately be canonized Saints !!!
A real joke is your consistent lack of a real plan, and derision aimed at anything you hate, such as Gay people and Gay issues, and begs the real question; Why are you even here ???
It I because in believe in equality for all people that I am here. Gay people need to stand up and take it....not cower behind some dishonest game
But can you cook ? That is the really important question here ! A really good omelette is good ! Just a lil humor to break up the monogamy ! ( monotony ) humorous / humerus Joke, lol
Exactly! Their trickle-down 'equality' is worse than the "trickle-down economy" BS they are still pushing. VOTE BLUE!!!
