They think that dropping out of a uterus entitles them to something. What is it they've done to deserve anything? What do they give in return? Nothing, they just suck from others
Third party payers insulate them from the true costs, and they think the payers should be cheep, or better yet, free
Right,. Nothing raises prices faster than a lack of incentive to keep them at whatever the market will bear.
Now they think insurance should cost little and pay for everything. That's maintenence not insurance. Maintenence is not a risk pool. Maintenence coverage is not insurance. And the dolts wonder why it's expensive
Corporate welfare is at an all time high and the rich complain about food stamp programs for the poor. Oink, oink.
We aren't arguing over a wall to keep people in our country. America sucks leeches across the border.
Sorry, George. A catch-phrase like "corporate welfare" just rolls off the tongue. But recent facts say otherwise. Example: Recently the government passed an appropriation of $867 BILLION DOLLARS for the 2018, ten-year "farm bill". And 80% of it ($693 BILLION DOLLARS) IS FOR 'FOOD STAMPS' (the SNAP welfare program). The Democrat Party digs in its heels and won't provide $5.7 Billion Dollars for border security for the United States this year, but we've got many, many times that amount to give away to millions of people who don't, can't, or won't earn enough money on their own even to feed themselves! "Corporate welfare"...? Me? I'd rather have the government give me $6.93 Billion Dollars a year for ten years! Now THAT'S some REAL welfare! Think about it -- you can bet a lot of the rest of us who are TAXPAYERS do....
That’s exactly the line of thinking that’s killing people financially in this country. The argument isn’t, nor shouldn’t b as simple as “give power to the government or not.” No. I refuse. It has to be a more meaningful conversation than that. People’s lives are being destroyed, and all both sides do is regurgitate crap like that. No. The primary issue isn’t insulation, it’s price gouging because the companies can. Example, the epi pen hike a couple years ago. Disgusting. ITS AN EPIPEN, people’s LIVES DEPEND ON IT, OF COURSE THEYRE GOING TO PAY. Free market gouging like that has ZERO place in situations where people’s lives, livelihood or PAIN is at stake. But here we are. Nice try though.
What should be and what is are two different things. Because the 3rd party pay system insulates the consumer from the cost of goods and services. If health care providers had to be paid directly by the consumer, competition withing and between markets would lower prices and raise quality.
That’s exactly what I said, they are two different things, and my argument is that should be rejected. We are better than this. Insulated or no, the price gouging is outrageous and DOES reach the consumer.
Good luck with that. Absent the insulation of a 3rd party pay, price gouging leads to going out of business.
Actually it doesn’t. Do you mean not price gouging results in going out of business? That’s why this country sucks btw. We should strive to be better than the BS that is the two parties in this country. Republican and Democrat are BOTH garbage. Wake up. I realize there little hope because people in general will believe and get behind anything. But we should be striving to be much better than we are.
When people pay for their own goods and services, price gouging results in no one buying your product or service. No one buys your product or service, you go out of business.
Whenever a business is closed an opportunist is inspired take the risk and to step into the gap and meet the demand. That is, unless there are price controls like in the 1970's on plywood. Nobody would step into the gap and make plywood at cost or above cost. There was just no plywood and that was that. I remember a lot of structures being blacked in with blackboard, a fibrous mixture embedded in tar, 4 x 8 sheets of it. Haven't seen any blackboard in a long, long time.
yes but for only the ones who are wealthy enough to afford it, the result for the poor is benign genocide.
If the two party system is so bad then how did this country get to number one? Answer: It did until Mitch McConnell and trump destroyed the moral fiber of it.
No, it was covered inside and out. It's still used in a lot of construction. Let's talk about chinese drywall. There was also a huge drywall shortage at that time, too. I think there is a conspiracy behind it all just like the oil embargo used to out Jimmy carter from office. Do you think so?
