"you can kill journalists if you buy our weapons."
Can you provide a link to this alleged statement from President Trump?

In other words, we will sell them the weapons. It is not much of a bargaining point when your only choice is to sell them the weapons or not sell them the weapons and it is more to our advantage to sell them the weapons.

Selling the weapons is only half the goal

Having the Saudi’s as political, military and economic allies is the more important issue

The largest arms deal in hitory between our two nations was done by Obama and Clinton

    https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/05/hillary-clinton-foundation-state-arms-deals/

In 2011, the State Department cleared an enormous arms deal: Led by Boeing, a consortium of American defense contractors would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, despite concerns over the kingdom’s troublesome human rights record. In the years before Hillary Clinton became secretary of state, Saudi Arabia had contributed $10 million to the Clinton Foundation, and just two months before the jet deal was finalized, Boeing donated $900,000 to the Clinton Foundation, according to an International Business Times investigation released Tuesday.

    Hardly the point.

We can delay or threaten to cancel arms deals. It WOULD have the desired effect

Of course Trump would never anger his buddies

How about before we make accusations we wait for full info hell the damn investigation is only just starting. You'd think you'd have learned something from your debacle against Kavanaugh about accusations not always being true.

That would be like drawing a line in the sand. The Saudis would merely say OK, we will buy from the Russians or Chinese. Don't be mislead, the Russians and Chinese can and do build quality military hardware.

If it had been Mike Wallace I would be a bit more concerned, but still unwilling for the country to make economic sacrifice. Economic sacrifice for a journalist? You got to be kidding me.

You just figuring this out now Lee ? If you don't buy our weapons or are in the way of the economic agenda of the Establishment (international financiers) - you get threatened, demonized, propaganda war waged against you, sanctions, a proxy war waged against you or, in some cases a coup is conducted.

    That's how it works Lee.

Please provide an example of Clinton abdicating the US's moral leadership role in the world (remember this was before Bush approved torture) in the face of an atrocity against a US resident for the sake of profit for defense contractors.

Also, dear despots, you need only vehemently deny your wrong-doing and say nice things about Donald personally, and all will be forgiven.

He was a Saudi citizen, going into a Saudi embassy in Turkey. What do you think the EU will do about it? What will Turkey do about it?
