And Hills stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders...and you really should not call her a moron or a whiny snowflake b**ch.

You have to be a dunce or intentionally trolling to think that "~70,000 across three states" was a reference to Hillary Clinton when she earned millions of more votes than Bernie Sanders.

And no, she most certainly did not steal anything from Sanders.

I thought the video was being sarcastic, pointing out to young people why they should vote. The only reason why for instance pensioners are the one group in the UK who have not had to pay for 2008 is because they vote.

Why did we get Brexit - because not enough of the young people who wanted the EU for their life voted. The old who will not be around to take responsibility for their vote of course voted in the highest numbers and voted in the highest numbers for Brexit, leaving the young to live it. (Oh for memories of youth!;))

Why are the young less likely to vote - almost certainly because Thatcher/Regan and those they took their ideas from did not believe in democracy - made it much easier to move into a plutocracy serving the elite and having a vote every 4 or 5 years to pretend it is still democracy offering a few extras that the focus group they have worked with say will get the vote. So politics more or less stopped and the young came along and understood that it made no difference what they did so they did not vote...only it does if we are to get change and get back to democracy - which I know some do not want. That seems to be where we are now. The fascinating thing being that it is only a few of the boomers who can remember .....for instance Sanders and Corbyn.

You are referring to that greed obsessed MINORITY of Boomers who do what you describe above. I consider them to be the PROBLEM, not the solution.

Not all of us Boomers had it the way you graphic suggested. There was no money for me to go to college so after the army I went out to work. I put in the effort and eventually put myself through college at night. I used a motorbike because it was cheaper than owning and running a 2nd hand car. My wife and I saved our money and put a down payment on small house while so many other Boomers were buying new cars and HiFi's and going to movies and clubs.

We waited to start a family and so my daughter was one of the "lucky ones" who graduated college in 2008 when the economy collapsed and her debts came due. She went out and took part time consulting jobs until eventually one place hired her full time. Yes, she did stay at home and instead of buying the latest iPhone she paid down her college loans. Only after they were paid off and she moved into her own apartment did she buy herself a car to get to and from work. She is also a published author and is working on saving the down payment on her own place.

She does not whine and she has no illusions about the reality she is facing because we never raised her to feel entitled.

So while you do have a legitimate gripe about the greed obsessed Boomers who are making puerile denigrating remarks you need to apply a little perspective. Your own generation is going to have the same problem where a small subset will screw it up for everyone else. Odds are it will be in a different manner but they will do it nonetheless. And I am willing to bet that those in your generation who do screw it up will be the descendants of the Boomers who are doing all the name calling now.

The smart move is to take the high road and not let them get under your skin. To put it bluntly they are not worth your time and trouble. Why lower yourself to their level. Force them to rise to yours and when they can't that will just frustrate them, not you.

The world is overrun with people who are like that but that does not mean that you or I should be like them.

Using parody to communicate can be tricky if people interpret it as serious, but such misconceptions can also be amusing at times.

Well it sure helped Trump that many of his followers are complete idiots, so I'm sure that idiot yutes would help Dems.
Seems complete idiots can be found across the political spectrum.

I guess you think that because the tea party were just a bunch of angry white conservatives, Republicans can ignore the fact that the guys with the swastikas and cross burners and white nationalists are allied with trump and his party.

NOt surprised they are confused on this topic. See no evil, there ain't no evil. And they called Obama a monkey.

I see you have already baked in an excuse for contemporary and future failure by claiming you are the victim of the older generation's mismanagement of the economy and the world.

Nah, you are helpless to do anything about it because you are afterall a powerless yute. Why even voting won't help. What's the point of working your arse off to get ahead on your own merits when you are doomed to failure because us old farts screwed it all up for you.

I recall my participation in the "great generation gap" debate. Don't trust anyone over thirty and all that bullshit.
Seems its emerging in new packaging with the same trite generational message of the ages.

Perhaps your narrative works with the under achiever, those with a strong sense of entitlement and those possessing naive idealism. While you are whining, the majority of today's youth are working to acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to make a difference.

With such a bitter "poor me" attitude it's no wonder you declare yourself a fascist.

Nice cop out. Did it ever occur to you might be the one that isn't listening?

Of course not. unthinkable. You got a handle on it all and anyone that doesn't agree with your world view is obviously not listening.

    Classic totalitarian attitude.

Perhaps you should re-read clausewitz. He was a proponent of the dialectic method, you it seems, not so much.

I work and pay taxes along with continuing a path to get the necessary skills to be successful eventually.

I do view this world as hopelessly lost but I strive to live so that I may witness the greatest collapse of western civilization in history so I can sit back with confidence where I can calmly say, "I told you so.", and so also I may take part in the greatest revolution that will come that will shake entire continents that will shortly afterwards follow.

Your false caricature of me is just that, entirely false.

I'm not the one in power making all the decisions, I'm just a bystander, witnesses, and observer.

Meanwhile your generations are the ones with all the political power currently and repetitively you fail to implement even the slightest changes to improve the nation, who exactly isn't listening to others?

I'm very familiar with the dialectic method, and Clausewitz after all was a Prussian.

No one listens to you because no one listens to whiners. What kind of bunghole whines because others have succeeded? America has more millionaires now than ever. The reason for that is there is more opportunity than ever. You can either take control and grab your piece of the pie or you can sit in your mom's basement and pity yourself. It is your choice no one else's.

If you want to succeed, it is easy. Get an education in an area where their is job demand, learn a trade, make yourself marketable. The same rules apply now that have always applied. People who hustle and achieve will succeed. Whiners are poison. No one needs them.

This country is on the brink of total economic collapse and all you elderly farts can do is repeat the same tiresome mainstream partisan political points and rhetoric maintaining your extremely fragile status quo that is falling a part at the seams as every year that goes by arrogantly pronouncing that is somehow worth preserving.

I live on my own and pay for myself thank you very much. I live on less than $18,000.00 a year and yet I pay for my own way while I continue my educational studies.

We'll see who has a knack for survival who is strong, independent and is whining when this nation splits a part into a shooting civil war because that is the future I envision for this country.

Your status quo will not continue and you're seriously deluded if you think it will, have a nice day sir.

Because most young people think nazis are scumbags, white nationalists are almost as bad and misogynists aren't playing well with the crowds these days.

    How do you know this?

What makes you think young people share your definitions of nazi, white supremacist or misogynist?

I saw a study which suggests that political correctness is not especially popular among young people or anybody else, for that matter.

A subset of the subset devoted to greed & avarice are in Congress courtesy of the majority of boomers. As soon as they see the national debt decrease, they will increase spending.

Political correctness is not at all the same thing as white nationalism or nazism and certainly not the principle measure of misogyny.

Mainly because whites supremacists aren't democrats these days. But by all means reach back for some justification for the blatant fact that there are a number of republican candidates that are members of the radical racist right wing fascist fringe. And a number of candidates have had to drop out of their races (state mostly) because of their blatant bigotry.

But ignore the facts and deflect with whataboutism. Afterall, its all ya got.

I am not at all promiscuous about whom I call a nazi. I call fascists fascists and white supremacists white supremacists.
the fact that many of those scumbags object to being called out, ain't my problem.

And I rarely call anyone a misogynist or sexist, unless they clearly demonstrate that is who they are. Looney feminists are as bad as misogynists.

How you get to my use of labels when you directly asked me how I knew that the majority of young people reject such scummy ideology isn't a mystery tho. I proffered evidence to back up the claim you challenged and so you move the goal post and whinge about my calling nazis, facists and white nationalists for the hateful ideological lowlifes they truly are.
