What on earth are you rambling on about now? I'm all for the end of the Union. I've just referred to the obvious: First, the Union's existence reflected earlier Scottish imperialism. Second, Scottish nationalists really are dull and are no different to the other nationalists that inflict these isles with their bile and shoulder chips!

Birmingham (which is Britain's second-biggest city) is one of those places that the Left loves - very multicultural with the ethnic minorities trying their best not to integrate into British society.

A perfect example of this occurred this morning. Cricket's Champions Trophy Final is being played today between England and India at Birmingham's Edgbaston cricket ground (or, at least, it should be but, unfortunately, rain is delaying play at the moment and if there is no match at all or if less than 20 overs are bowled per side out of the total of 50 for each side - less than 20 does not constitute a match - then the trophy will be shared between the two teams) and when the England players' names were read out by the stadium announcer the Indian fans booed. Now I can just about understand it if the Indian fans there were actual Indians - although it'd still be bad manners - but the chances are that the vast majority of those India fans booing the England team are British citizens of Indian descent who were born in Britain and are probably natives of Birmingham.

This is the type of England that the Left has created - an England in which the English are not allowed to fly their flag or show their love for England and an England in which the ethnic minorities are booing the cricket team of the country which has given them a comfortable existence.

They are English Indians booing the England cricket team.

If Britain's ethnic minorities had been forced to properly integrate into British society, as should have been the case, then these English Indians would be SUPPORTING the England cricket team.

Instead, for years the Left has told Britain's ethnic minorities that they have no need to integrate into British society; that they have no need to feel British and become British; that they can still consider themselves to be Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis or West Indians. As a result these minorities live in Britain and have British jobs and live a nice British lifestyle, but they feel no affinity for the country which has given them a comfortable existence, so Britons of Indian descent support the Indian cricket team rather than the England cricket team and they BOO the cricket team of the country they were born and brought up in. It's disgraceful.

 

Its sport! Crikey, its pantomime stuff. That you're so affected by it suggests you need to get out and about more. How about a cycling holiday in the Cotswolds? That'll be all worldly!

I'm happier now that the match has finally got under way, albeit one that's been reduced from an ODI to a Twenty20 match.
