    The Germans shower all the time. Having lived there I can state that in the factory that I worked they had on site showers and all the Germans showered before going home, the British who worked there mostly did not shower after work.

    youre so naive and wrong on all counts. the marshall plan was a system of loans, loans with interest, that are widely accepted to be one of the main reasons the usa is today the richest country in the world. they got rich off the back of misery, every other country in suffered war and destruction and had to rebuild, the usa loaned them money not gave, and got really rich as a result. there was nothing altruistic about it. it came with huge conditions as well, that the economies of europe were organised in the way the usa wanted them, so they could make maximum profit. a bit like letting the bankers make the financial rules you would get the same result.

    communism is a political idea, communism and socialism have never killed anyone, and enjoyed the support of hundreds of millions of people all over the world, billions even. it is not americas place to decide the political system of every country in the world. stalinism and maoism are variants of a political idea, they have never killed anyone either, though stalinism isnt really a term anyway, totalitarianism has killed all these people nothing to do with politicis. the reason eastern europe is slightly behind not so far is the cold war, economic warfare conducted by the usa against the east. the soviets didnt treat anyone any way, these countries had their own socialist and communist systems in most cases. how many people has communism killed in cuba ?

    of course the ussr would have left europe alone, france and britain had nuclear weapons since the 50's, that means the soviets cant touch europe and wouldnt have tried. it was never about that anyway, that was just never an issue. the usa has illegally invaded many more countries than china and the soviet union combined to impose their form of government. japan is an island that had recently invaded china and which has never once in thousands of years been successfully invaded, they would have done just fine. the usa has never protected a single weaker country, it has acted in its own interets and invaded several weaker countries, never out of altruism. youre just so naive its unreal.

    Depends entirely on how you define good does it not? And buy the way Europe lacks the force projection capability to launch much more than a brigade our way. Your best fighter aircraft would run out of fuel half way here, and you have no bombers. So lot's of luck ending us.
