The USA was already the hugest economy by 1900, way before the marshall plan. In fact, it's share of world GDP is going down. Besides the USA had no moral responsibility to even give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about the rest of the world after WWII but they did. Who cares that they didn't give away money? What's the problem with giving loans anyways? they gave them at low intrests at that, that's altruistic enough. And who cares that the USA got richer? some one getting richer isn't a bad thing, I know leftists think it is but drop that, it's a good thing. And europe also got richer so honestly don't see the problem here.

You're seriously defending the soviet union and communistic crimes against humanity? (*)(*)(*)(*), I didn't know you were soo lefty. How about saying that nazism didn't kill anyone? see now the silliness? Communism has killed people, much more than double that nazism did. Open your eyes Charlie. And I believe that if there's only two powers in the world, one being free and the other being darn reds, the free on should strive to roll back communism for the betterment of humanity. Eastern europe's economic problems were due to the planned economy, which doesn't work by the way, the soviets used. Compare that to the market economy in contemporary USA, it has an abundance of everything.

After WWII the USA was the only country with a navy, air force and army worth mentioning. The USSR was battered and weary. The USA could have conquered the world easily, who would have stopped them? But what did they do? they converted the industry back to civilian goods, cut down on military and helped the the world to rebuild. How can you possible accuse the USA of being the bad guys here?

It must suck to not be able to support your team at world cups, and be left with bashing the champs.

Well if you are Welsh, you are a bit foreignch. Were you fully French, you would stick it to the English, proudly.

Since you spent your holiday watching the French team lose on tv, in a bar; let's hope whoever went there with you, took benefit of the sun and perhaps a couple of Turkish delights.

Yeah I suppose I did not really want to meet any Frenchies they can really spoil a trip. I had to actually remove one from a queue at Bangkok airport because he seemed to think that he could push in.
