Once it becomes clear that someone swallows Ron Wyatt (or similar) nonsense, I write them off as addicted to delusions, or worse. They are not worth the time. The OP is addicted to Ron Wyatt nonsense. QED.
If they Hebrews did cross the red sea, it was likely on the northern part, at the narrow, far more shallow strip of water at the northern edge and sometimes goes dry during lowtide.. This would make sense, since they main exodus would have been from Memphis (Cairo), which is just north west of the strip, and would have been the first part of the sea they crossed. Going around the sea would have take far more time and if they feared soldiers coming after them, crossing at low tide would have been the only choice..
Since the Egyptian Empire included what's now, Israel, Lebabnon, and Syria why would the Israelites have been in Egypt proper? Egypt left them.
I wish you'd tell NASA, then the charlatans might stop obsessing about the 'big bang, and 'how it began', and 'how stars are born', and why they 'die'! I mean in the greater scheme of things WTF cares!!
You know that's a bald faced lie.. The Red Sea is 700 to 2200 feet deep. SCUBA divers don't go that deep and the Israelites couldn't have crossed those inclines even if they were mountain goats.
I personally am wide open to the possibility of chariot wheels being at the bottom of either the Red or Reed Sea. The G-d of Abraham would have such off the scale technological capability that arranging scenes like the Red or Reed Sea parting and Moses and Israel going through them would be technological child's play for the Beings who formed Adam and Eve. www.CarbonBias.blogspot.ca/
On the other hand both you and I have a great deal of respect for AboveAlpha and he has asserted that aliens with astonishing technology are real...... so it is possible that the most ancient Intelligence sent aliens to arrange for the parting of the Red or Reed Sea and other amazing events in scripture. Russia's Government talks about Release of E.T. data. (Part 2) ..... http://www.allaboutchristian.com/spirituality/
I believe AboveAlpha stated that the original Hebrew word was Yom Suph..... (or something like that)... and it actually translates as Sea of Reeds. The actual crossing may not have been in the area where the incline is the worst.
That's BS too.. If the chariots were in the Reed Sea we'd have salvaged them by now. Look at the topo of the Red Sea.. There is no shallow crossing.
The god business is big business. They have to sell the lie or else get other jobs. What kind of work is the Popes, cardinals, bishops, ministers, priests, preachers, gurus, rabbis, mullahs, clerics, monks, and nuns going to do in the real world? How many churches, mosques, temples, and synagogues can be turned into viable museums?
Common sense refutes the Exodus it isn't rocket science. 1. People could walk to the area they were going in under a month even going slow and it had to be a serious trade route so had established trade routes and people using them. So how did they get lost an idiot could see trade caravans going away from Egypt and follow them, were they all more stupid than an idiot? 2. If each man had on the average one wife and two children your talking 2 million people more than Egypt could sustain and more than the number of Egyptians so they went to the desert and got lost for 40 years - how - I would think a moron would go there is a big trade group going away from Egypt so lets follow them. 3. Absolutely no evidence of the plagues, destruction of the nation by them, no evidence for the mass of humans wandering the wilderness, no evidence of any enemies exploiting a weakened Egypt so you make a fantastical claim you better have sufficient evidence. 4. Even as a STORY its evil the ruler did agree to let them go off to worship then GOD hardened his heart as in violated free will which is supposed to be impossible so was going to blast Egypt regardless of what the ruler did and further he allowed slavery among his chosen people who he freed from slavery so what kind of insane move is that why not say as slavery was wrong to do to you the Hebrews shall not be allowed to own slaves however may take in the needy for their upkeep and some modest wage (to be set in his laws) and may go when they wish since the man and woman are free to come they should be free to go save for honest labor while under your service. See I'm more moral than this god just say if your poor you can go into a wealthy household get fed and bedded and given an honest wage under an agreement and are free to go after it.
They could be used car salesmen, I suppose. And quite a few cathedrals have been turned into tourist attractions now.
I wonder if it was a tsunami caused by a future technology delivered back in time? Or even older technology and Mankind's a species with amnesia?
I'm not going to lie though, now that I think about it; Time Travel's my answer to everything in the Bible.
It's possible that the forty year time period spent in the wilderness represents the time after the Egyptians lost the Levant and the time before the Israelites came under new ownership by the Assyrians. It doesn't mean that it was actually forty years. Israelites/Hebrews/Jews love to exaggerate numbers in their writings. In the Babylonian Talmud they claim that the Roman soldiers killed 4,000,000,000 billion people in one town and burned 64,000,000 million children to death.
