- the cost of gas at the pump versus cost of a barrel of oil is skewed, taking advantage of current global situation. Last time oil was this much per barrel gas was not this expensive. We are getting ****ed.
Nope. It's not that simple, or simplistic. Why are Gasoline Prices Rising? 2022 › 03 › 08 › why-are-gasoline-prices-rising Rising Gas Prices Have Drivers Asking, ‘Is This for Real?’ The average price of a gallon of gasoline is up ... consternation that people had been staying home but gasoline prices had risen anyway. In response, the senator
Actually, no, we're getting ****ed by Biden. Forcing a reduction in our production (and then begging the likes of Venezuela, et al. to help us is despicable.
Awww! Sweet! A wattsupmybutt conspiracy theory - from a fossil fuel funded astroturf site no lesss Try a site that knows a little about economics https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepa...on-behind-surging-gas-prices/?sh=15e3b6b026de
What a load of cr*p. Production dropped under trump and has increased under Biden. https://www.macrotrends.net/2562/us-crude-oil-production-historical-chart
The WUWT post cites and links the New York Times, Forbes and Scientific American. You are embarrassing yourself.
That chart doesn't even go into Biden's term. Production under Trump waned a bit because of COVID and then started growing again.
The point is now or in the very near future What is the biggest downside to renewables? They do not operate at the same output 24/7. Sooo- grid scale batteries? There are issues with that but little old Aus invented a grid scale battery the only problem was it relied on an expensive mineral called Vanadium. Enter QLD Aus. Two new Vanadium mines are going into operation. These mines will not just be making grid scale batteries for Australia (there are plans to replace a couple of coal fired power plants with battery installations) but basically anywhere in the world. And I do mean anywhere. We are also putting in MASSIVE PV farms in the NT and QLD and WA - basically across the dry tropics which at the moment is scarcely populated. These will be powering a big electrical cable to Singapore but also “green Hydrogen/ammonium” for export the same way we currently export LNG Think about third world countries with scattered communities who cannot have power because it costs to hook them to a grid. If we can get power to them that is off grid you start to also remove all those burning fires that also add CO2
Don’t bet on it People are already doing the math - especially when the majority of rides are to and from work
I've already read up on why they are not increasing supply. It's because they don't want to see another 20 dollar a barrel oil oil surplus because of another stupid pandemic lockdown. I get it. And I am fully aware that as the article states EV's are not the solution for poor people unless the price drastically decreases. I'm not poor people. And I refuse to get ****ed at the pump at the whims of some share holder corporate greed or personal vendetta against Brandon for cancelling the pipeline. You can pay for that. I'm out.
So why not recycle them into grid storage? That has been floated because the grid storage does not require the high end charge that a car does it means we can get waaay more years out of the batteries. We could even “recycle” to third world countries for them to use in small communities as support for renewables there
https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapie...lding-back-us-oil-production/?sh=5d16fd0e6b6f I haven't filled up my gas car in 3 weeks counting...I'm gonna just save it for times I need to go long distances. I'm pretty sure I'm not living a fantasy right now fella. I haven't looked at a gas pump since I bought this car. And did I mention the thing is ****ing fast off the line? It has instant torque. No transmission. It's just instant power. But like I said, I'm totally ok with you getting ****ed at the gas pump every time you need to fill. I give you permission.
