    Trump played it down, just as China did, and we have him on video saying he knew he was playing it down

    some say Trump wanted the virus to spread and the reason Trump shutdown the economy is that he knew the economy was failing, and the only way for him to inject trillions into the mega corps was to use the virus crisis to do so, if that did not work, he would blame it on the virus, win\win either way as far as Trump was concerned

    The solution was already posted above, but I'll take steps further: Permanently revoke any relations, recognizing Taiwan as the true Chinese State. And press economic sanctions against China, accelerating the process of moving our manufacturing out of China. China is an enemy State of the United States of America and always has been, for much of our existence.

    Trump got us respirators, PPE’s , medical masks, hospital ships, field hospitals, staff for them , provided for therapeutics, tried a 15 and 30 day effort to stop the spread, created a public private partnership to do operation warp speed and get us 3 vaccines by the end of last year, and stoped travel before anyone else did to China and then Europe. Now other than implement what Trump already set up, what has Biden done?

    Probably massively taxing their exports should do it. At this point, regardless of what the exact truth is there are some absolute certainties: China was aware of the coronavirus as early as November 2020, and not only failed to alert the international community but deliberately aimed not only to cover up the extent of the virus but to enable Chinese citizens/workers to travel to and from China.

    How deliberately is deliberate? Deliberate enough that people died, unlike the first SARS in 2002-2003. China's culpability and responsibility has been brushed aside for far too long, with the so-called anti-asian rhetoric leading the way to protect an international war criminal state.

    It's time for the US government to promptly and amply respond to China and force China to confess to the world what it knows, what it knew and when it knew it.

    True or not ... Biden needs to put a stop to Chinese subsidies. We lose hundreds of billions to Chinese trade deficits, but taxpayers subsidize China? China isn't ever going to accept responsibility or make any offer of compensation regardless of an investigation's findings. The "global community" needs to impose tough sanctions on China, but lip service from 1 or 2 "allies" is all Biden can expect.

    Can you give some examples of these.

    You do not lose money in trade. Saying we lose money is like saying you lose 100 bucks when you buy 100 bucks of groceries at the store. Or "oh dear, I just lost $500 bucks at BestBuy and all I got was this new TV".

    It is more than Trump would have gotten. Trump pissed off all of our allies and pushed many of them closer to China along the way.
