    Maybe if people had a stake in the system they would be willing to protect and nourish it. When people don't have a stake in the system they don't care what happens to it or even to themselves. That's why so many civilizations and societies have failed throughout history. The average person had nothing and saw no prospect of ever getting anything so he saw no reason to support his local tyrant over the new invader. It's obvious that some people in Oakland feel dumped on, which may be why they simply stop caring. But guess what? More and more people across America will soon feel that way as they lose their jobs and homes. It'll be like the Great Depression was, if not more so. And what will you do when it affects the people you know? I'm sure that some black people won't panic because they are already suffering. But it's the well-off whites who will freak out and that's when we will see some real riots.

    I think you are claiming that though there is a right way and a wrong way, blacks deliberately select the wrong way.

    Take Kaepernick the spoiled 49er QB, with his millions of dollars, with his ability to QB the team, he sits on the bench pouting by taking a knee during the Anthem. Clearly the wrong way.

    OK, so long as blacks get excused, they will learn of those excuses and keep doing the wrong thing.

    I lose hope reading your posts.

    A dodge on your part.

    The protest is spreading so maybe he's doing it the right way.

    So the people in Charlotte did a little rioting and they were castigated for it.

    Kap engages in a personal peaceful protest and he gets a lot of hate for it.

    Is there an acceptable way for black people to complain?

    Can every black person complain or are only certain black people who aren't rich and famous allowed to complain?

    I'm sure they would like to know the rules. Maybe we can insert an asterisk in the First Amendment?

    I understand the African American Museum will be adding a wing to that museum that is 5x larger than the original building. It will be devoted to black crime in America and its victims.

    I don't believe his protest is working. And he is separating himself from the team. Most of sports players who became rogues did so thinking they were correct. Times showed them later on having other problems.

    Hate is not a good way to deal with Kaepernick. So long as it does not end up with haters rioting, we can dismiss it as noise.

    Riots do not fix things. If they fixed things, my view would change. But thus far, I know of no riot that solved the problem.

    Is there an acceptable way? First, let's put this all on the table. Daily cops shoot and kill whites. We don't riot. Were we to riot, we might get called racists. Blacks who riot really are racists. I wish they were not. But fact is, they are.

    Most blacks won't riot. I thank those who have better sense.

    Generally the rioter is between being a teen to maybe 30 if I have this figured out. I think once they get gainful work, the idea of jail is not nearly so appealing.

    I would look at the way Thomas Sowell or Justice Thomas or many of the best black minds have figured it all out. i know they put in great effort into working on solutions.
    It seems to me they will not listen to we whites. We to them are the problem. It takes somebody with stature to help solve those problems. Clearly a job for educated black men.

    In the BLM case the known wrongs have already been addressed; the Democrats have just chosen to ignore that in order to win the upcoming election.

    IMO it will boomerang; too many are onto them now--everyone except the lowest functioning members of our black population, who they are endangering by encouraging them to be oppositional to police..

    Oakland California beat DC to it. And at one point, they had next to no blacks. WW2 changed that. As did the depression of FDR.

    I have news for you...thousands of whites have been in a state of desperation since even before 2008, and so far none of them have rioted. Who are you that you don't know this?

    Their forebears were rescued from the jungles, given free passage to America, given steady jobs on the plantations with free food, housing and medical care and taught to speak english, but their descendants are still bellyaching about it!
    Huh you try to be nice.. (sniffle)

    Yes, and they were just hard working people looking for a better life. Doing jobs that Americans would not do.

    I think the Democrats owe blacks a deep heart felt apology.

    They never did publicly apologize that I am aware of.

    We simply do not riot. We lose whites to cops but we do not riot. We lose people to cops but we do not bust open stores and loot them.

    Are we doing it all wrong?

    Some people consider Sowell an Uncle Tom. https://btx3.wordpress.com/2009/06/16/uncle-tom-of-the-year-contender-thomas-sowell/

    Just about everyone knows that Thomas is an Uncle Tom. If it was up to Thomas black people would still be in chained slavery picking cotton.

    Only the elites had slaves. Why can't you absorb that fact?

    Thomas is but a serious black leader. As to him wanting those of his race in chains, I need to see actual statements coming from him to show he might think that way.

    When I was at Mt. Vernon and at Monticello, I can't recall blacks there as tourists. There they could see how slaves were taken care of. Naturally once war ended, slaves though free lived very impoverished lives. This was a step backward for them since they lost homes, food and standing with a community.

    It would take a building the size of the Pentagon to house all of the crimes done to black people in America.

    First you say;
    1) Some people consider Sowell an Uncle Tom -- and then provide evidence of one persons opinion.
    `
    Then you say;
    2) Just about everyone knows that Thomas is an Uncle Tom -- which contradicts statement 1) and offers no evidence.
    `
    Finally you go outside of time and space and state;
    3) If it was up to Thomas black people would still be in chained slavery picking cotton.

    Since when does a person have to give evidence for an opinion? You made several statements and didn't give a speck of evidence for your opinion.

    Did I say they were facts? I just pointed out how linguistically, you butchered your own post with grammatical and evidential incongruities. Writing is fundamental.

    Other ethnicities weren't enslaved here for over 200 years. They also didn't have to go through another 100 years of struggle to get free from an apartheid semi-slavery after that. Blacks tried being very good Americans and non-'uppity' under people like Booker T Washington (" we can be as separate as the fingers of the hand") and all it got them was segregation and lynchings. Being rebellious has been very necessary to blacks getting where they are today.

    Also, those other museums DO show their ethnicities as standing up for themselves. Why are ONLY blacks criticized for this? Standing up for yourself is a very American thing

    Does the Smithsonian have a wing dedicated to just white crime in America and its victims. Talk about some racist babble.
